🎁 HELP US BUILD THE PERFECT GIFT BOX
The holiday season will be here before we know it, and we’re starting to think about what should go into this year’s Lucky Frank Farms gift boxes.
If you were picking one up for yourself — or giving one as a gift — what would you most want inside?
🍯 Local raw honey
🕯️ Beeswax candle
🐝 Bee pollen
🍯 Creamed honey
🎁 A mix of several things
Or is there something else you’d like to see us include?
Tell us in the comments.
We’re actually using your answers to help us decide what to put together this year.

🍯 NOT EVERY JAR OF HONEY IS THE SAME
One of the neatest things about local honey is that the bees decide what goes into it.
We can put the hives in a good location, keep the colonies healthy, and give them the best chance we can — but once those bees leave the hive, they’re going wherever the flowers take them.
That means the color, flavor, and even aroma of honey can change depending on what was blooming when the bees collected it.
Some batches are lighter and mild.
Others are darker with a stronger flavor.
🐝 That variation is one of my favorite parts of producing real local honey.
You’re getting a little snapshot of what was blooming around our bees at that particular time.

🕯️ QUICK CANDLE QUESTION
When it comes to beeswax candles, which style do you like best?
🐝 Honeycomb pillar
🕯️ Smooth taper
✨ Votive
🍯 Swirl candle
We make several different styles, and I’m curious which one you’d be most likely to bring home.
Pick your favorite in the comments!
And if there’s a beeswax candle style you wish we made, tell us that too — I’m always interested in what people would actually like to see on the table.

🐝 ANSWER: FICTION!
Honey bees don’t hibernate.
Instead, they form a tight cluster inside the hive with the queen near the center. The bees generate heat by vibrating their flight muscles and slowly move through the hive as they eat the honey they stored during the warmer months.
Even when it’s freezing outside, the colony is still very much alive and working together inside.
Pretty incredible for an insect that weighs almost nothing.
🍯 And that stored honey isn’t just something we enjoy — it’s their winter food supply.

🐝 FACT OR FICTION?
Honey bees hibernate all winter long.
Once the snow starts flying and temperatures drop, you don’t see much activity outside the hive.
So what are they doing in there?
🐝 FACT or FICTION?

☕🍯 HAPPY INTERNATIONAL COFFEE DAY!
We’ll admit it…
Around here, coffee on its own is pretty hard to drink.
Fortunately, the bees figured out how to fix that. 🐝
A spoonful of Lucky Frank Farms raw honey gives coffee just enough sweetness to make it actually enjoyable.
No fancy syrup. No complicated recipe.
Just coffee + honey = much better coffee.
So today, in honor of International Coffee Day, we’d like to thank coffee for giving us another excuse to eat honey. 😂
Who else puts honey in their coffee?
