Boes Family Farms

Boes Family Farms Boes Family Farms is owned and operated by Cecil Boes and his family. Producing approximatley 1700 acres of corn, beans, and wheat annually.

The farm also consists of around 500 cattle that are produced for local and federal sale. We also custom bale straw, hay and corn fodder; round or square bales can be produced.

Another Hancock County Fair has come and gone and its time to think about your projects for next year. Boes family Farms would love to make the Cross Breed show get bigger and bigger but to do that we need 4H kids to take this project. I don't think the cross breed class is well known but any 4h kid can take one!
If you need a supplier for this breed; we have you covered! you'll be able to come out and choose your own!
If you have any questions or need more information don't hesitate to ask us. If you want to help or donate to this class for the kids let us know or the fair know!

The Boes family Farm cattle did great this year; many ribbons won on both Holstein and Cross Breed.
One of our Cross Breeds took home the Reserve Champion!

Did you know Boes Family Farms is owned by Cecil Boes, operated by himself and only 4 other people.

His two sons; Josh & Tyler, son in law; Matt and his youngest daughter; Kate. Of course we have small helping hands from his 3 grandsons and 5 granddaughters who love helping “Papa”

With only 5 people running a farm, it means long hours, time off is rare and we’re on call 24/7. But it also means more communication and less mistakes which equals happy healthy cattle 😊
