Last night around 3:30 AM, our Fika Fika Arcadia location was broken into again.⁠

Several individuals smashed our front door and attempted to steal from the store. Unfortunately, this is not the first time. In fact, this location has been targeted more than five times over the years.⁠
⁠
We often get asked why we don’t accept cash. The truth is that one of the main reasons is safety. After experiencing multiple break-ins, we’ve chosen to operate as a cashless business to help protect our team and reduce the incentive for theft.⁠
⁠
Incidents like this affect more than just the business. A broken door needs to be repaired. Team loses sleep to clean. Operators are up in the middle of the night dealing with reports. Police officers have to spend valuable time responding, investigating, and trying to catch those responsible.⁠

The good news is that just a few hours later, the suspects were located and arrested. A huge thank you to the Arcadia Police Department. Their response was incredibly fast, professional, and effective. We truly appreciate all of their hard work and dedication to keeping our community safe.⁠

At the end of the day, we’re just a small business trying to serve great coffee and create a welcoming space for our community. We truly appreciate everyone who supports us.⁠
