Heads Up! USVetsDeliver ❤️🤍💙 is a Delivery Service and charges a Delivery Fee.

I guess there’s a first time for everything, and not everyone is familiar yet with how we operate.

So they might assume all sorts of convoluted ways we might get paid for our services other than directly from the Customer. But I reckon we’re a little simpler than that. 😂

We prefer complete transparency. What folks used to call Honesty.

No need to complicate things by attempting to hide delivery fees in increased food price, or other nonsense hidden fees like Corporate Apps do. (and then sometimes still charge you a delivery fee!!)

Because in the end, no matter what kind of pricing scheme they use, the Customer Pays for their Food & Delivery. (and sometimes a good bit more than that!)

But we do things differently around these parts. No “Surge Pricing”, No data driven “Dynamic Pricing” nonsense, or any other new-fangled way of squeezing a few extra dollars out of customers.

Because we absolutely have to pay Drivers for their time, Delivery Fee is based on Time from Pickup to Delivery Address.

Our Base Delivery Fee is $7, (for deliveries of 5 minutes or less) then 75 cents per minute after the first 5 minutes.

So if you’d like to know in advance what your delivery fee should be, Google Map the Restaurant (from your Delivery Address) Hit Start and look at how many Minutes it says.

Take total Minutes minus 5 x 0.75 + $7.

Example, you live 15 minutes from restaurant according to Google Maps.

15-5 =10 minutes
10x0.75+$7=$14.50 (not including tip)

That’s it! Plain & Simple. It ain’t Rocket 🚀 Science. We’re not landing a spaceship on the moon. 😂

If it seems like too much, we understand. USVets might not be perfect for every delivery, but it insures Drivers are paid fairly. ❤️

You might also consider how much extra you pay to Corporate Apps in Markups & Hidden Fees.

I heard on NPR that the United States is now the largest “Exporter” of Diesel Fuel.

And I was like WTH? If we got Diesel to Spare why has it gone up 66.6% since Jan 2025??

After further investigation, I found the following:

The Diesel Scam!!

According to the US Energy Information Administration, (link in Comments)
In 2024 the US Imported No Diesel from the Persian Gulf or OPEC countries.

Canada has historically provided 85-97% of all Diesel Imports to the US.

The remaining countries even in 2025 only accounted for 10% or less of Diesel Imports.

The United States as of 2025 is the Largest Exporter of Diesel. It Exports about 25% of its Refined Production of Diesel.

In 2024 we were completely Independent of Diesel coming from OPEC & the Persian Gulf.

With this information as I read it, we could ingratiate ourselves to Canada, cut Exports to 15% and still have all the Diesel we need.

So this begs the question. How does a less than 10% decrease in Imports (which we could get from Canada) create a 66.6% increase at the Pump?

The obvious answer is Big Oil is making a killing (record profits) off US Consumers, after creating a False Emergency (We don’t need to be dependent on Persian Gulf & OPEC for Diesel)

They are blaming Iran War for a shortage in the US. When that contribution to US Imports is either very small or completely unnecessary.

It’s a case of “Create a Problem & Make a Killing.”
