Wrangletown Cider Company Wrangletown Cider Company is a small, craft producer of Hard Cider in Humboldt County, California. A winery, a cidery and a budding music venue.

Wrangletown is woman owned and produced creating dry ciders made from local organic orchards. This small batch craft cider made from select Cider Apples and honors the history of Apple Farming in Humboldt County's history. In addition to Cider, we offer wines under the North Story Wines label. I offer Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Carignane, Syrah and several blends. The grapes are selected from small and meticulously farmed vineyards.

Hello! Just popping on to share that we are fortunate to have Bobby Alu back in Arcata. He's performing this Thursday, Sept. 26th at Playhouse Arts at 7pm. I've been doing booking at The Playhouse and am so thrilled to have Bobby Alu and his bandmates back for another sweet evening of tropical grooves! Our Story

Wrangletown Cider Company produces small batch, dry Ciders made from select Humboldt County Orchards and honors the history of Apple Farming in Humboldt County's history. In addition to Cider, I also make wines under the North Story Wines label. North Story produces Vermentino, Pinot Noir, Carignane, Syrah and Petite Sirah. The grapes are selected from small and meticulously farmed vineyards.

I’m open Friday and Saturdays for tasting and also by appointment. You are welcome to bring your own food as we only produce beverages. Don’t hesitate to give me a call for a private tour and tasting!

The History of Wrangletown...

“In the heart of Redwood Country, just a few miles east of Humboldt Bay is the small community formerly known in the 1800’s as ‘Wrangletown’. This former logging town with a population of 300 people and 7 saloons in its’ day, held the reputation for some wild times! According to local history, two strong-willed women from separate households were especially notorious for their very public disagreements that often resulted in brawling in the street. It has been said that a passing stagecoach driver named Foster publicly declared that the town should be named ‘Wrangletown’”.
