WELCOME TO THE FAMILY: NORTH FORK GARDEN SOCIETY!
North Fork Garden Society grew out of the vision of two people, Tekla Broz and husband Denny Lopiano. They have lived in the small rural town of Covelo, in Mendocino County, for over 30 years. Tekla taught at the elementary school, and Denny was the chef/owner of the North Fork Café, a much-loved fine dining restaurant that was a social center for our town for 26 years. An unfortunate fire destroyed their restaurant, but they are putting their attention on the future, and part of that future is growing quality cannabis. They are long-time legacy farmers, growing small amounts of cannabis medicine for over 40 years.
Tekla grew up in San Francisco, and as a teenager in the Sixties, was part of the culture of love and peace that spawned a new awareness of the value of the environment, organic food & products, love and tolerance of all humans, freedom of self- expression and personal creativity.
Denny grew up in upstate New York, amidst farms and rural cultivation, and moved to California in the Seventies. He has been a talented chef for all these years, and brings his good sense of taste and smell to our creation of organic medicine. They live in the middle of the small rural mountain town of Covelo, in beautiful Round Valley, in Mendocino County, California, beside and amidst Round Valley Native American Reservation residents and a varied vibrant community of isolationists, cowboys, elders and youth.
They live on one acre, and their farm is in their backyard. Thier garden has been organic for the entire time they have lived there, over 30 years. Their goal is to produce quality over quantity, to touch every plant, to grow beautiful flower that makes people happy
