Bayside Park Farm Bayside Park Farm is the City of Arcata's educational farm. From soil to soul! The Farm provides for the community by working towards these goals:

The Bayside Park Farm, formerly the Arcata Educational Farm, is a three acre vegetable farm located in the City of Arcata’s Bayside Park. Develop and generate fledgling farmers
2. Provide education about organic and sustainable agriculture to our community
3. To be a model of Community Supported Agriculture

The primary purpose of the Bayside Park Farm is to develop greenhorn farmers by providing

a space for the development of practical skill sets dealing with organic and sustainable agriculture. Since its inception, the farm has been operated by generations of blossoming farmers- many who have started their own farms locally and beyond. It also provides the community with local, organically grown vegetable through an alternative agriculture model called Community Supported Agriculture (CSA). Community Supported Agriculture is an alternative model of agriculture that is growing in popularity for consumers and farmers. CSA subscribers, or shareholders, pledge financial support to the farm in the spring understanding that they will be apart of the risk and rewards of the growing season. "Subscribing" to the farm buys you a season's worth (typically 20 weeks) of farm fresh food that is to be picked up weekly at the farm! The farm was the first model of Community Supported Agriculture in Arcata and has been providing our community with local organic produce for nearly 20 years.

The tomatoes and strawberries are popping off this week- tasty and sweet taste of summer. Cucumbers and zucchini are on full blast also. Harvest season is in full swing!

Happy week of Juneteenth and Solstice✨

We are giving some love to the strawberry patch! Weeding, cutting runners, and adding some compost around plants. There are even ripe berries to graze on.

You can still sign up for our summer farm share program! It will be starting up in a couple more weeks. Sign up now for 20 weeks of fresh produce that we have been working hard this spring to grow for you. Everything is starting from seed on the farm and grown with organic practices. Can’t get any fresher than straight from the farm to your table.

Come by the farm this afternoon for drop in volunteering from 1-4 pm

930 Old Arcata Rd

Help us plant! We have zucchini, cucumbers, and winter squash ready get into the ground. We have some delicious kale and fresh radishes for you to take home in return. Also there are tomato starts available for those interested in growing food at home.
