Happy Independence Day from Back Roads Farm!

Thank you to our service men and women who have fought and continue to fight to keep our country free. We're wishing everyone a safe and happy 4th of July!

One year ago today we took delivery of 20 Berkshire sows to start our herd that would later become Back Roads Farm. We started on a giant leap of faith and strong goals of providing our local community with premium, traceable protein.

The last 12 months have brought many trials and challenges, but also many joys as we welcomed over 20 litters to the farm. We have learned so much about the breed, ourselves, and our customer base. To date, we have been able to provide pork to families and individuals in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Alabama, and over 50 families locally. To say we have been incredibly blessed would be an understatement.

We couldn't be where we are today without the support of you, our faithful customers. Your words of encouragement and affirmation are what keep us going.

School is out and you know what that means... it's summer time!

For all your summer grilling needs, let Back Roads Farm fill your plate. We have the capacity to supply large family gatherings, weddings, and more.

Additionally, we are actively taking 1/2 and whole hog share orders for the summer, being processed at Pettisville Meats. If you've never purchased meat this way, or have questions about the process, don't hesitate to reach out and ask! If you have the freezer space, this is a great way to buy in bulk and save.
