Hi! Our greens are so happy in the greenhouse! We would be happy if you took a drive to Brick and Thistle Farms to stock up for the winter. We have French sorrel, kale, lettuce, arugula and red giant mustard greens for your holiday dinners! Our French sorrel makes amazing soup and pesto which you can freeze and, as you know, our tasty greens stay fresh in your fridge for at last two weeks! Sorrel is discounted to $5 pound - normal market price is $7 half pound; we are discounting the other greens, too!

We will miss you this Thursday at the Perrysburg Market. Mother Nature just isn't cooperating and we (and our greens and veggies) need some good ol' sunshine! See you on the 29th when we will be back with sorrel, lettuce, spinach, delish Toscano Kale and more!

Our delicious French Sorrel is still growing like crazy in our greenhouse! Admittedly, this is our first year growing in Ohio and we are on a learning curve. But wow! The sorrel is loving the chill! Now one of the owners and growers at Brick & Thistle Farms in Archbold Ohio, I moved from Toledo to South Florida way back in 1980 and tended bar as I finished up school…Jimmy’s song Fins (she came down from Cincinnati) and his love for South Florida and people everywhere sure resonated with so many Ohioans. Here’s Jimmy jumping into Biscayne Bay during his concert at the Miami Marine Stadium way back…..you will be missed JB!

It’s a good Sunday morning when the smell of apple crisp is in the air! Sure, we grow great greens and veggies but we love to bake,too! And especially when we use ingredients right here from the farm. Frozen apples from last year’s harvest and our beautiful edible pansies that just won’t stop blooming! Here’s to a delicious day!
