Lessons-

Cedar Valley Farms offers beginning-intermediate riding lessons. We work with children and adults getting them comfortable being around horses. We teach about grooming, horse behavior, mounting, and of course riding. We have gentle experienced horses- different breeds, sizes and colors to expose you to all types of horses. We stress balanced riding and safety on and around horses. Come out and enjoy farm life with us! Helmets are provided. There are no expensive riding outfits to purchase (unless you want to). We also offer boarding and leasing of horses. So if you find one you fall in love with you could lease him/her on a monthly basis and ride all you want! or if horseback riding "gets in your blood" and you decide to purchase a horse, we also board horses. Lessons are available during week-day, late afternoon, or on weekends. The lessons last an hour each. All ages are welcome. Please contact me for more details.
$50/hour

Leasing-

We also usually have several horses for lease. If you’ve got the horse bug but not ready to commit to buying, leasing is a great first step towards owning your own horse. The horse will be matched to the ability of the rider. You can then come ride whenever you want in the ring or on trails. You can use our grooming kits, bridles and occasionally we may have a saddle you can borrow. So you can have your “own” horse without a huge financial investment. We charge board ($400) plus farrier visits. We cover annual vaccinations and routine maintenance vet expenses.

Our last week of camp this summer was extra special because it was our very first Littles Camp!🐴💚

Each day, the girls started by helping feed the horses before teaming up with a partner to groom their horse and get ready to ride. Throughout the week, they learned about proper horse handling, parts of the horse, parts of the tack, and horse colors and markings.

Every day brought a new riding adventure, including trail rides, arena lessons to build their riding skills, and even a ba****ck day! We wrapped up each afternoon with a fun craft that the girls absolutely loved. They even got to paint the horses on Wednesday!

It was so rewarding to watch each of these young ladies grow in both their riding skills and confidence throughout the week. We are so proud of all they accomplished and are incredibly thankful to everyone who joined us this summer. We can't wait to do it all again next year! 💚☀️

Day 4 & 5 of our last full camp of the year was a success!🐴💚

The girls had a blast feeding the horses, grooming, riding, and making so many fun memories!

On Thursday, they put their senses to the test with our Blindfold Guess the Horse challenge, using only the feel of each horse's face to figure out who it was. They also designed and decorated their own keepsake horseshoes to take home.

On Friday, we wrapped up the week by painting the horses, going on a scavenger hunt around the farm, and saying our final goodbyes after an unforgettable week together.

Thank you to all of our campers for making this camp season so much fun! We can't wait to welcome our Little campers next week! 💚🐴☀️

Fans are very dangerous in a Barn. Barn fires in the summer are often due to fans.
At CVF, we don’t usually keep horses in stalls so we don’t use fans on stalls. But we have allowed fans in the aisle ways while the Rider or Owner is in the Aisle way to keep an eye on the fan.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DON’T EVER LEAVE FAN ON OR EVEN PLUGGED IN WHEN YOU LEAVE!!!

Day 3 of Full-Day Summer Camp! ☀️🐴

We're officially over halfway through the week!

Today was full of fun and new experiences. The girls enjoyed feeding the horses, riding, and decorating clay pots to take home. We also had a ba****ck riding day, and for some of the girls, it was their first time riding without a saddle!

This afternoon, we played a special team-building game where each group took turns being the "horse" or the "rider." One partner was blindfolded while the other guided them through an obstacle course using only their voice and directions. It was a great exercise in communication, teamwork, and trust—and everyone had a blast!

Only two more days to go! We can't wait to see what the rest of the week has in store.

Day 2 of Full Day Camp was another great success! 🤠🐴

Each group of riders enjoyed a short trail ride, learned about horse anatomy, and got creative making beaded bracelets. It was a fun-filled day of riding, learning, and making memories. We can't wait for Day 3! 💚
