The St. Joe Kickers were double victors last evening in Blossomland Soccer League play. SJK Premier bumped along to a 4-3 victory over the South Bend Velociraptors, while SJK Blau overcame an early deficit to leave the field at Cassopolis with a 5-1 win over the Pumas.

In Arden, Seth Walters scored twice to become the Kickers' all-time BSL goalscorer with 65 markers. Lalo Zarco added one goal, and Jacob Scouler found the game-winner with just a few minutes left to play. The win keeps SJK Premier in second place on the BSL table.

In Cassopolis, Gustavo Governo led Blau with two goals, while Alex Tuesta, Tony Le Giancaspro, and Matthew DeMartini added one each to keep the team in fourth place in BSL standings.

SJK Premier will host the Pumas next Thursday at 7pm, while Blau has one last road game at Jr. Irish against the Velociraptors before finally coming home to take on P&R FC the following Thursday, June 18. All games are open to the public with no admission fee. The clubroom opens at 6:30pm for drink and snack purchases.

Don't forget that SJK's first World Cup watch party will be held next Friday when the USA takes on Paraguay at 9pm. We will have the Clubroom open at 8:30pm: cash bar and snacks! This event is open to the public. Bring your friends!

Congratulations to the ML Titans and the SJK players who coached the team, Sarah Pappenfuss and Paul Jackemeyer. They lost in regionals last night but had a great season. Everyone associated with the team should be proud.

Congratulations to SJK Premier on their 9-1 victory over P&R FC last evening. Seth Walters jumped into second place on SJK's career goal-scoring list by finding the net four times, overtaking Jason Girvan and Kevin Kay by one goal on the all-time list. Lambo and Angel Rodriguez added two goals each, and Patrick Tovar dribbled around P&R's keeper to round out the scoring. The 9-1 win was the largest point total and margin of victory for SJK in the 26-game series with P&R. The previous best was a 7-2 win four seasons ago. Premier travels to Chesterton High School to face RFA Legends on Sunday at 5pm.

In South Bend, SJK Blau went down to a 3-0 defeat to Arthritico FC (AKA Tornados) despite a strong goalkeeping effort by Jordan Matthews. Blau will travel to Cassopolis next Thursday to face the Pumas, while SJK returns home to host South Bend Velociraptors at 7pm.

EVERYONE INVITED - NO COVER CHARGE!
The St. Joe Kickers Sports Club will kick off its summer schedule of events with a live band and dance on May 30. In a departure from usual German fare, popular area rock band Dart Board Compromise will play at 7 pm in the main hall. Doors open at 6:30 pm, and there is no cover charge. American-style food and a cash bar will be available. The Kickers is located in Arden, halfway between St. Joseph and Berrien Springs, off of M-139 at 2601 Hetler Drive.

REGISTER NOW FOR 2026 7v7 Outdoor! GAMES START JUNE 15.

Once again, the St. Joe Kickers will host a 7 v 7 league for adults. We will have coed games on Monday evenings and Veterans games on Wednesday evenings. All players must be 18 years of age at the time of play and be registered on one team. To play in the Veterans division, males must be age 30; females age 25. You are allowed to play both coed and veterans.
