The St. Joe Kickers were double victors last evening in Blossomland Soccer League play. SJK Premier bumped along to a 4-3 victory over the South Bend Velociraptors, while SJK Blau overcame an early deficit to leave the field at Cassopolis with a 5-1 win over the Pumas.
In Arden, Seth Walters scored twice to become the Kickers' all-time BSL goalscorer with 65 markers. Lalo Zarco added one goal, and Jacob Scouler found the game-winner with just a few minutes left to play. The win keeps SJK Premier in second place on the BSL table.
In Cassopolis, Gustavo Governo led Blau with two goals, while Alex Tuesta, Tony Le Giancaspro, and Matthew DeMartini added one each to keep the team in fourth place in BSL standings.
SJK Premier will host the Pumas next Thursday at 7pm, while Blau has one last road game at Jr. Irish against the Velociraptors before finally coming home to take on P&R FC the following Thursday, June 18. All games are open to the public with no admission fee. The clubroom opens at 6:30pm for drink and snack purchases.
