Prairie Creek Ranch is looking for additional pasture opportunities within 1 hour of Ardmore as we continue to grow our multi-species grazing operation.

Our approach combines cattle, sheep, and goats to improve pasture health, utilize forage more efficiently, and provide effective vegetation management. We take pride in being good stewards of the land and building long-term relationships with landowners.

Moved the SEA flock into a new paddock today and these lambs wasted no time exploring. Rotational grazing keeps fresh forage in front of the animals, improves pasture health, and lets the sheep do what they do best.

Backyard transformation powered by goats. 🐐🌿

These before and after shots are from a recent residential grazing project where our herd helped reclaim an overgrown backyard filled with thick brush, vines, w**ds, and unwanted growth. Instead of heavy equipment or chemical spraying, these goats went to work naturally clearing the area while improving access and visibility around the property.

Goats are especially effective on:
• Brush and woody growth
• Poison ivy and invasive species
• Briars and vines
• Hard-to-reach or steep areas

This project is a great example of how targeted grazing can turn an overgrown space back into usable ground with minimal disturbance to the property.

WE ARE HIRING!!!

Prairie Creek Ranch is looking for a dependable and hardworking ranch hand to assist with the daily management of our livestock and grazing operations. This is a hands-on position working with cattle, sheep, and goats in a regenerative grazing system.

Responsibilities

Daily tasks may include, but are not limited to:
•Feeding and checking cattle, sheep, and goats
•Moving livestock between pastures using rotational grazing practices
•Building and maintaining electric and permanent fencing
•Setting up temporary electric fence for grazing management
•Checking water systems and mineral feeders
•Assisting with livestock health checks and basic animal care
•General ranch maintenance and property upkeep

Requirements
•Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
•Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work
•Experience with livestock is preferred but not required
•Willingness to learn and follow grazing management systems
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team
•Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate enjoys working with livestock, takes pride in doing things the right way, and is motivated to learn more about regenerative grazing and ranch management.

Position Details
•Full-time or part-time depending on availability
•Pay based on experience
•Opportunity to learn practical livestock and grazing management skills

Before the goats ever arrive, the real work starts.

We’re currently preparing new grazing sites by:
• Clearing fence lines for dependable electric fencing
• Cutting access lanes through thick timber for effective grazing
• Opening up movement corridors to control where animals impact vegetation
• Designing targeted grazing layouts tailored to each property

This preparation is what allows our goats to work efficiently—turning overgrown, inaccessible areas into manageable land without disturbance.

Our 2026 grazing season is filling up quickly.
