After fourteen years, HopHands, our house American Pale Ale, is getting a facelift. Not including the various window drawings and growler-tag scribblings that represented this beer in the beginning, this redesign represents our third attempt to give this very special beer a proper identity... and we couldn’t be happier with where we landed.
HopHands is one of two beers that built this business and represents the hazy/hoppy framework upon which all of our hop-forward beers have been based. Utilizing a base of domestic 2-row barley and a healthy addition of fluffy oats, the malt backbone of this beer provides a delicate yet ample structure for the heavy handed additions of Simcoe, Amarillo and Centennial to really pop. HopHands was one of the first heavily hopped and truly hazy beers out there way back in 2012... back when people were still expecting to be able to read the funnies through their pint full of hoppy beer. Sure, some people would slide their pours of HopHands back across the bar claiming it to be unfinished, but we stuck with it because, well, we liked it that way!
Here’s to hazy hoppy beer everywhere. HopHands! Look what you’ve created!
Keep your eyes peeled for hyper-fresh HopHands with its badass new label wherever you pick up Tired Hands beer.
