Gratitude for this beautiful old apple tree! We usually gather some apples, but this year this tree is covered with fruit. And I’ve discovered other trees with yellow apples on the property that have barely fruited in years. I’m wondering if my dramatic increase in flowers over the past few years has encouraged pollinators to stay around. Anyone else having an amazing apple harvest?
Planning apple sauce, muffins, crumble, crisp…. Let me know your favorite recipes I can’t live without!

‘Tis the season. Hay season!
Jeff is out raking and baling some of our fields tonight. We make hay for our horses and had to take advantage of the few days of clear, dry, sunny weather to cut, tedd, rake and bale. It’s a lot of work but Jeff gets to play with tractors and hay implements so he’s usually in a pretty good mood, especially while the temps and humidity stay lower. Want to stop by and throw a bale or two? It’s a great workout! 🏋️‍♀️ 😉
