Girls having a little fun after moving some steers around. With getting somewhere around 19 inches of snow this past Sunday, we needed to open up a pen water won’t run through for calving. In a few days all this is going to start melting and we wanted to get ahead of it before we are up to our knees in mud.
Side note 30-30 (the pony) is still for sale! She is still being put to work around here when the girls are helping sort and move animals.

The halter breakers we got 12 years ago updated to the automatic feature 😂 All jokes aside, we couldn’t be more proud of the girls and all they do on the ranch. A few of these heifers will be at fair and a few will be at futurities but at any event you can ask the girls about them and they will have the answers. Raising the future of agriculture is something we are fortunate to do.

The heifer streak continues into fall calving for us. 14 heifers/4 bulls now.
POR 25/17 was born 10/9/2025. She is an ET calf out of Riverforks Black Ice by Bubba Tuff Chex. We are excited to have another heifer on the ground from that flush.

The boss met me at the bus step when I got home. She had an entire list of grievances, including the fact she is no longer allowed in the shop and doesn’t have free will to terrorize everyone she would like to. Miss Peggy is really becoming quite the character as well as the yard cow. When you pull in the yard, be sure to watch for Miss Peggy. She knows her name. Call and she will be sure to come harass you for scratches.
