Iowa delivered a strong day 2 of engagement on NASDA’s India inbound trade mission.

Hosted at Corteva, the day began with an agricultural industry roundtable featuring Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig and leaders from across Iowa and Nebraska. Discussions highlighted the region’s leadership in agricultural production, biotech and global trade.

Delegates also toured Corteva’s greenhouse for a firsthand look at research and technologies shaping modern agriculture.

With additional stops ahead in Kansas, the mission continues to connect stakeholders, share knowledge and explore opportunities for future agricultural trade. More updates coming soon!

NASDA’s India inbound trade mission to Illinois, Iowa and Kansas is off to a strong start.

Day one in Chicago brought together delegates, Illinois Department of Agriculture Director Jerry Costello, industry leaders from across the state and universities for a dynamic exchange on agriculture and trade.

Discussions highlighted Illinois’ leadership in corn, soybeans, ethanol and agricultural innovation.

The mission continues this week with a focus on building connections, sharing knowledge and opening doors to new opportunities. Stay tuned for more updates from the road.

Throughout the year, Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig and the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship meet with leaders from across the world to discuss agriculture and trade. Today, the Secretary visited with a delegation from India and Iowa agriculture professionals participating in a National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) round table hosted by Corteva Agriscience Corteva Agriscience in Johnston. Thanks to National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) and Corteva Agriscience for coordinating the event.
