Join us when the Vermont House of Representatives honors Nick Monte as "Bennington County's Chocolatier Extraordinaire" on Monday, August 31!
The Vermont House of Representatives issues individual recognition through House Concurrent Resolutions (H.C.R.), which are ceremonial measures passed to honor citizens or organizations for outstanding achievements. We have been informed that dad was officially honored by the Vermont House of Representatives through House Concurrent Resolution 294 (H.C.R. 294), which formally recognized him as "Bennington County’s chocolatier extraordinaire".
The resolution was multi-partisan, sponsored by a broad coalition of local Bennington County lawmakers, including Representatives Morrissey of Bennington, Cooper of Pownal, Corcoran of Bennington, Durfee of Shaftsbury, Greer of Bennington, Hunter of Manchester, James of Manchester, and Nigro of Bennington. The Resolution: H.C.R. 294 was introduced to celebrate Nick’s profound business footprint and culinary contributions to the region.
The resolution will be read and presented to Nick at The Village Chocolate Shoppe on Monday August 31 at 6 pm. This is a surprise for Dad and we couldn't be more proud of him. We would like to invite everyone to come and help honor our chocolatier extraordinaire. 😊 We know that this is short notice so we hope you can come. We would love to have the whole sidewalk filled with people.
