So fun!

Something a little magical is brewing in Downtown Arlington…

Save the date for Girls Night Out: A Little Magic, A Lot of Mischief! on Thursday, October 22, 2026.

We’re conjuring up a witchy evening filled with downtown stops, themed specials, food and drinks, shopping, and a few surprises along the way. Gather your favorite coven, dress to bewitch, and wander through Downtown Arlington at your own pace.

The evening begins at 6:30 PM at In The Shadow Brewing, where we’ll meet, mingle, and send everyone off with a Witch’s Passport featuring participating businesses and their evening offerings.

From there, the night is yours to explore. Some of the final details are still under wraps — including where we’ll gather again later in the evening — so consider this your official Save the Date while we finish brewing the rest.

Head to the Stilly Valley Chamber of Commerce post to find out about traditional Oktoberfest games, and give your input. How about a keg holding contest?

What is your favorite Oktoberfest games or activities?

• Masskrugstemmen: A classic stein-holding contest where competitors test their endurance by holding a full one-liter b**r stein straight out with one arm parallel to the ground.
• Hammerschlagen: A popular woodworking and speed challenge where participants try to drive a nail into a tree stump using the sharp edge of a hammer in as few swings as possible.
• Fassrollen: A traditional barrel-rolling race where teams or individuals roll heavy b**r kegs through a designated relay course or distance run.
• Fingerhakeln: An ancient test of finger strength known as finger wrestling, where two opponents hook a specific finger and try to pull each other across a table.
• Wurst-Essen-Wettbewerb: A fast-paced sausage-eating contest testing who can finish their traditional German bratwurst or knockwurst the quickest.

This year we are going to try some potato decorating, along with some pretzel necklace making. What else should we add?

ITS SUPER SATURDAY IS THIS SATURDAY!!!

We make helping our community as easy as having a b**r (or making any other purchase from us).

On any given FIRST Saturday, we feature a local charity that we collect cash donations for, and give a portion of that Saturday's sales to. Even if you don't buy anything, just putting $5 in the pitcher can go a long way towards helping another soul in our community.

We have a great view of the changing trees and blowing leaves. Come and enjoy your Friday afternoon with us.
