Barrett fell in love with this
Mille Fleur d'Uccle Booted Bantam at the Fair this year and had his heart set on getting one ever since.
He's been helping out around here a lot, collecting eggs and other farm chores, and earning a little money. He decided he wanted to put his money towards getting one and so I tracked one down, in the Thumb and yesterday we took a little trip up to get her and 2 of her friends.
He's so happy, I'm proud of him and we're both impressed with how sweet these little bantam girls are!❤️🐔

The net. The net that my amazing husband put up this spring in the finger- numbing- cold, while fighting with bird netting in 40 mph wind, and a cut or two from running metal tension wires.. all that hard work just paid off. I was sitting with the goats not even 10 yards away when a Hawk went for the chickens. I heard the tension wires bounce before I saw it, that's how fast it attacked. Thankful our "safety net" did its job today❤️🐥
