🌱 Sponsorship Opportunities Available!

The moment you step into the gardens at Meadowlark Acres, you feel the scale of what’s being built here.

Dozens of rows. Multiple varieties of melons and vegetables. A growing system designed for the climate, soil, and short season of Northwest North Dakota. A place where families can walk through the gardens, pick food with their own hands, and experience a unique part of agriculture right here in McKenzie County.

šŸ„• In addition to our pick-your-own garden, Meadowlark Acres also has a separate FSMA-compliant commercial garden that helps provide fresh, locally grown food to local markets.

In an effort to bring more to the public while keeping the experience affordable and enjoyable, Meadowlark Acres is opening a limited number of sponsorship opportunities for the 2026 season.

🚜 Our goal is to keep building a local agriculture experience where families can get outside, learn where their food comes from, eat healthier, attend seasonal events, and connect with local food in a hands-on way.

We love opening the gardens to the community — but building something of this scale, and keeping the experience affordable for families takes community support.

šŸ¤ Sponsorships help make that possible.

For local businesses, sponsorship includes visibility through farm signage, social media, event recognition, and seasonal promotions — while also showing support for local food, family experiences, healthier communities, and agritourism in McKenzie County.

šŸ“ We have several sponsorship options available for the 2026 season. The sponsorship menu will be sent directly to interested businesses and sponsors.

If your business would like to be part of growing a local agriculture experience for McKenzie County families and visitors, send a Facebook message or email and I’ll send you the menu of sponsorship options.

šŸ“£ And as always, sharing this post helps us reach the right local businesses.

Thank you so much for being the wonderful community you are.

I’ve been a bit slow posting because it certainly hasn’t been slow around the farm! Here’s a quick update:

🌱We’ve been busy doing the ground prep for this year’s garden. I plan to begin direct seeding next week and transplanting in a week or two when we can catch a break from the wind.

🄯The bakery side of things is getting a facelift and some very cool upgrades! That should be complete in June then I’ll take a couple weeks to test the new equipment. You can expect twice/week fresh baked sourdough products and other tasty thangs (see photo for example) beginning in July!

Photo: We’re already harvesting! šŸ˜† Prepping a clean crop of dandelions to get their petals pinched!

See you soon!

Season kickoff report from Meadowlark Acres 🌱

We’ve officially begun and we are leveling up this year!

After a winter of restructuring, planning and lots of experimental baking- the seed trays are prepped, the prop house is humming, and just like that… the 2026 season is underway. We’ve already planted around 10,000 plants—and this is only the start.

This year is shaping up to be something special.

Some things you can look forward to:

-Saturday Pick-Your-own days (other days TBD)

-Fresh, Local Produce all harvest long- dare I say, with some fancy new packaging (You’ll find us at the Watford Market and various other community events)

-Separate growing space for commercial availability for grocery stores, schools, hospitals, restaurants (FSMA Compliant w/ traceability)

-Community Volunteer Opportunities- Join our team of volunteers to help give our community an even greater experience, sign-ups for farm work days and events coming soon!

-Corporate sponsorship opportunities! *Honestly, when building infrastructure to support a high quality, high-impact community experience- we can use all the financial and material help we can get to speed up the building process! -Interested? Feel free to reach out for a chat.

-Events at the Garden! *A food truck festival at the height of harvest to showcase our delicious local produce sounds fun! Maybe a family-friendly music festival some day? Drive-in movie night? Pumpkin patch? …we’re gonna need some help and sponsorship to offer some of the bigger items- isn’t a growing community exciting?!

-Paid private tours of the garden with me, Corey. More info to come. *This is a way for us to fundraise for simple infrastructure to improve your experience in the garden- My time (and attention) is quite limited so I’ve already begun booking for the growing season!

-A whole lineup of baked goods, jams, jellies, sweet treats, butters, etc…All produced here in the farm kitchen!

-And much more!

As stated, we’ve begun booking farm tours with local groups and with groups visiting McKenzie County from all across the state. It's such a joy to see the look on people's faces when they step foot in the garden and realize the expanse.

There’s a lot growing out here—not just plants, but an experience we’re really proud to provide space for and to share with you.

Can’t wait to have you out.

To fine weather,
-Corey

We’re incredibly honored and grateful to share that Meadowlark Acres has received a Prairie Producer Expansion Grant through Strengthen ND

This support means a great deal to our family farm. It will help us continue growing, improving, and expanding what we’re able to offer our buyers, local communities and the great state of North Dakota.

Our goal has always been simple: grow exceptional food, work hard, and create something meaningful for the businesses and families who support us. This grant helps us take another step forward in that mission.

Thank you to everyone who has encouraged us, visited the farm, and supported Meadowlark Acres along the way. We’re excited for the upcoming growing season and look forward to serving you all.

At Meadowlark Acres, growing great produce isn’t just about what happens in the field—it’s also about how we operate behind the scenes.

I’ve completed formal Produce Safety Alliance Grower Training, which means our farm follows nationally recognized food safety standards for growing, handling, and selling fresh produce. From soil and water practices to harvest and post-harvest handling, every step will be done with intention and accountability.

For our customers, this matters. It means transparency. It means consistency. And it means confidence that the food you’re buying is being grown responsibly, safely, and with respect for the people who will eventually bring it home.

Trust isn’t something we ask for—it’s something we earn. And we’re committed to doing exactly that, season after season.
