I've been touring Amador county these last few days. I recently visited Helwig Vineyards. Beautifully designed estate. Lovely panoramic hilltop location. I tasted through their wine selections. Excellent quality for sure. I was most impressed with their new 2023 Sauvignon blanc! Wow. Best sb I've had this year. Find it. Buy it.

For all of you wine people out there, today is the day. The wine artisans tasting at Mer Soliel for the Santa Lucia appellation takes place in a few hours. Best tasting of the year usually. All the greats will be there.

Wine cooling systems are specifically designed to keep your wines at optimal storage temperatures. Unfortunately there are many sub-par units out there that do not perform as you would expect them to. First thing to remember....you get what you pay for... I find many many wine lovers out there that do not do their homework..., have thousands of dollars in fantastic wines ...and for some crazy reason ...think they can save by buying a less expensive cooling unit. ...So many factors should be thought out!
Am I going to vent this to an adjacent room? Am I venting this outside?
Should I get a split system?
What's a ducted system?
What kind of refrigerant should be used?
