Some of you have been asking, so we want to properly introduce ourselves!
I'm Lydia, and this is my husband Doug. We are the ones behind the pumpkin patch this season!
Some of my best memories growing up were the long fall days working alongside my family. With seven siblings, you need something to hold you all together, and for us it was working the land together.
When the opportunity came to purchase the land and continue the pumpkin patch, we felt called to it. Doug is a skilled craftsman, mechanic, and tradesman who can build and fix just about anything — and on a farm, that matters more than you might think. I am an agronomist at heart with a deep love for soil health, farmers, and the community we get to call home here in Nelson County. Together our passions and skillsets point right back to the land, and when this opportunity came along, we knew it was where God was leading us.
What we want you to know is that this is more than a business to us. We want to continue the legacy that has been built here. We want to raise our family on this land. We want to stay connected to this community. And we have big dreams for what this next chapter can become — but the pumpkin patch is our foundation, and we are committed to keeping the heart of it exactly the same.
