After 3 wonderful days on vacation we came back to an abundant harvest! These Amish Paste Tomatoes are on steroids!

The lemon basil, lemon balm, and Tulsi(holy basil) will be dried and available for purchase as tea at the autumn Nelson Farmers Market Cooperative.

Our ground pork is excellent for a meat sauce over pasta, breakfast sausage, or stuffed peppers! My favorite way to use this is for breakfast sausage patties:

1lb ground pork(needs to have fat added in like our butcher does for us)
2 tsp Redmonds Real Salt, or kosher salt
2 Tbsp dried sage
3 Tbsp real maple syrup
3 Tsp black pepper
1 Tbsp fresh garlic

Knead those herbs and spices in for a good while

Form into patties. Because of the maple syrup a nice crust will form, but make sure not to crank your heat too high.

We do offer on farm pickup for all our products, pork cuts, mushrooms, and fresh cut flowers.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the Nelson Farmers Market Cooperative in Nellysford market on Saturday. We will have Berkshire-Duroc pork available in addition to tinctures, flowers, and eggs.

Berkshire meat is bright pink and sweet, often described as having a nutty flavor. Duroc meat contains a higher moisture content and has a dark pink color. Combined you will have juicy, robust flavored pork.
