The milking girls plus Winnah and Gracie got pedicures today!!

Cows are large animals and making sure they have comfortable feet to walk and stand on are one of the most important parts of cow comfort! Luckily for these girls their feet are pretty good naturally but a trim every year keeps them in tip top shape!

Today we wish Sweet Pea the happiest of birthdays! Sweet pea turns 3 today! She is currently milking and has been in her lactation the longest out of everyone at the moment at almost a year! I usually don't like to milk them this long but someone is being a pain and doesn't want to get pregnant again 🤦🏻‍♀️. She will eventually and then get a break but until then she is very happily getting her extra grain and getting milked. So wish a happy birthday to miss Peagly Wiggly as I like to call her!

Happy June 1st!
Today marks the start of June Dairy Month and today is World Milk day!
Many may not know this but here at RedneckRidge Farm we used to be a licensed raw dairy and shipped commercially for many years. We stopped shipping and selling milk about 10ish years ago. While we stopped selling milk we still kept the dairy cows they just raised beef babies for us instead! Well Emily has always loved the dairy girls and her goal has always been to sell raw milk again. In October of 2025 that dream became a reality! So raise a glass for those small local farms that's just don't know when to quit! Stock up on milk this coming weekend at the Kennebunk Farmers Market -Updated on Saturday and Scarborough Farmers' Market on Sunday!

It's a special day for this birthday girl!!!! Little Miss Cookie turns 1 today!! Cookie is the only descendant from the original milk herd that we currently own! We sold Cookie's grandma Caramel to a farm quite a few years ago. When I reached out to that farm they mentioned that they had Cookie available and I was not necessarily in a position to buy her but I couldn't pass her up! So wish a happy birthday to crazy Cookie!

Happy tongue out Tuesday from our resident silly goose! Riot always has her tongue out! So of course it made sense for her to take a picture with it peeking when she was cleaning Rambo!
