Burger culture in San Salvador, El Salvador.
This is Carne’Calle.
100% Angus chuck, a potato roll, American cheese, special sauce and caramelized onions. Familiar ingredients, put together through their own point of view.
I’ve learned over the years I’m not here to assign a number or tell you where a burger belongs on a list. Even if that’s what people want. I never really cared what is trending or working. I enjoy noticing the decisions. The branding, the people, the room, the way the food is presented and how someone takes the burger we all recognize and makes it their own.
I eat one almost every day, and the more I travel, the more I realize that burger culture often exists where people least expect it. Some of the most publicized cities and places lean on reputation. There are burgers worth finding everywhere. Often times the ones I enjoy are doing more with less.
