Turn Rain Into Drinking Water for Your Animals

No running water? We’re still getting it done.

In this video, I show you how to catch rain off your roof and turn it into a steady water source for your animals using a simple gutter system and a rain barrel. Nothing fancy, just a setup that works.

We walk through the whole process step by step, from putting the gutters up to getting water flowing into the barrel. I also show you how to keep it from turning into a swamp with a filter setup and even a few goldfish to help keep things balanced.

This is built for real life. Low cost, easy to maintain, and something you can rely on.

What you’ll learn
• How to catch and direct rainwater off a building
• How to set up your barrel the right way
• How to keep the water clean and usable
• Simple ways to maintain it without overthinking it

What you’ll need
• Rain barrel
• Rain barrel filter
• Gutter end caps
• Gutter slip joint connector (1 per 10 ft)
• Gutter downspout
• Gutter flex spout
• Gutter support brackets (every 2 ft)
• 10 ft gutter sections
• 3/4 inch drain spout or faucet
• 3/4 inch O ring
• 3/4 inch PVC female adapter
• 1/2 inch wood screws for filter and flex spout
• 1 5/8 inch deck screws

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

🐣 Incubation 101 is now streaming inside our Facebook group

We originally planned to teach this class here at the farm with a small group. But we realized something.

Limiting it to a handful of seats didn’t make sense when so many people want to learn how to hatch successfully.

So we made a change.

Instead of a small in person class, we are bringing Incubation 101 online and teaching it live inside our Facebook group so anyone can learn.

Inside the class we will cover
• How to select and handle hatching eggs
• Incubator setup and temperature control
• Humidity and turning schedules
• Candling and monitoring development
• What to expect on hatch day

Whether you are brand new or trying to improve your hatch rates, this will give you a clear foundation to do it right.

And the best part is it is completely free.

Just click the link in our bio to join the free Facebook group and you will get access to the class plus the conversation with everyone learning together.

If you have ever wanted to hatch your own chicks, this is the place to start.

Click the link in our bio to join the group and we will see you inside.
