why did no one tell us that turkeys are just chirpy little joyful dinosaurs?!?!? our juvenile toms are starting to fill out with their gorgeous heritage turkey banding and they’re practicing their tail-fan dance at every opportunity… don’t tell the chickens, but if we started with turkeys, we may have never been a chicken farm at all… 😂🪶🦃🥚✨

the what: 🫧it’s just that we don’t actually NEED any more adorable black silkies, but maybe YOU do?!?🫧

UFD;

the WHO:🫧a bonded pair of pullet/cockerel black silkies. 5 toed, flashy blue lobes, and a knockout deep blue almost purple sheen in the sunlight.🫧

the WHY: 🫧we held onto them as grow outs but we’ve moved a much larger crested direction with blues and partridge blues. these black/blue silkies have been the base of our entire silkie show line and have consistently taken home county fair blue ribbons every year.🫧

if you’re looking for a solid base to jump off of for your silkie line, a socialized 4H pair for animal husbandry, or a pair of county fair shoo-ins then these adorable black rain clouds are it!!!

while it may still be cold outside, the greenhouse panels on the bantam coop have been keeping it a balmy 35-50* even on the frigid days! we’re offering bantam hatching eggs at a mega discount since everyone’s still shacked up for warmth at the swingers club, please note that these eggs have MIXED breed chicks but are still steadfastly hatched from our show quality bantams.
