Mark, thank you for making the trip to Brubaker Family Angus and for the kind words and continued support of our program. We’re proud of the Wye genetics we’ve been entrusted with and truly appreciate those who recognize the value of longevity, maternal function, and cattle that work. It was great having you here, and we look forward to visiting again soon!

It’s been a very busy past 10 days. I need to comment that last week we made a quick trip to Brubaker Family Angus for a visit. Harold’s energy and passion for Wye genetics makes the trip to NC seem pretty easy to do. Harold really values longevity in cattle and selects for pedigrees that have it. He has a field full of cows with historic Wye pedigrees and it’s really neat to see. He likely still has a few maternal type bulls available that will make easy keeping cows. They are young but priced affordable and are not over fed. I got to spend a bit more time talking to Jon this trip and he has a couple young, talented hoopsters in his house so it’s good not every thing revolves around the cows.

Happy Father's Day to all the dads, grandfathers, mentors, and cattlemen who have helped shape the next generation through their guidance, hard work, and example.

In the cattle business, we often talk about the influence of a great sire. Bulls like SVR Prince Copeland 8201F leave a lasting mark through the strength, consistency, and predictability they bring to a herd. Yet the true measure of a breeding program is never found in paternal influence alone. Great sires must complement strong cows to achieve generations of maternal excellence.
