There is something special about the moments that remind you why you chose this industry in the first place. 🍷

For me, w**e has always been about more than what’s in the glass. It’s about the people, the stories behind the producers, the relationships built over time, and the conversations that bring us together.

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of reconnecting with my dear friend Jason Jimenez while exploring the portfolio represented by Mary Ann Taylor. It was an opportunity to revisit familiar w**es, discover new favorites, and reconnect with a w**e community that has been such an important part of my journey.

Many of you may recognize these w**es from my previous w**e bars. Authentic producers, thoughtful w**emaking, a sense of place, and genuine value have always been at the heart of what I love to share.

Revisiting Prieto Picudo, an ancient Spanish grape variety that came close to disappearing, was particularly meaningful. I previously featured it at Decant for our Women in W**e celebration. Some w**es stay with you because of the stories and memories attached to them.

A special thank-you to Mary Ann for her contagious passion and to Rob at Digress W**e for creating spaces where our w**e community can connect.

As I continue building Vinum House, these are the experiences that reinforce my philosophy: hospitality is about creating meaningful connections, telling stories worth sharing, and making people feel welcome.

Good w**e brings us to the table. It’s the people and the experiences that make us stay.

Orlando, it feels good to be back. ❤️

The experience begins before the first glass is poured.

There is a particular kind of hospitality that feels effortless.

A table that is ready before the guest arrives. A w**e chosen not simply because it is exceptional, but because it belongs with the food, the setting, the conversation. A team that knows when to guide and when to give people room to discover something for themselves.

These moments are rarely accidental.

Behind them are thoughtful decisions about people, place, timing, and intention. They are the quiet work of understanding what an experience should feel like long before anyone walks through the door.

In w**e and hospitality, the details are the work. And the experience is the expression of it. Guest thinking about the w**e, the experience and the product as a whole unison expression. That is what it makes a great guest experience.

Some of our stories are written around the table. Others begin in the vineyard.

We are celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, and this one is personal.

People often ask me where I’m from, and when I say Puerto Rico, I sometimes get a confused look. I suppose I look a little more Indigenous than people expect. 😊 My family has a rich history of Indigenous roots passed down through my grandmother, and when you see a picture of the two of us together, you’ll understand just how much I look like her. ❤️

The Taíno are the Indigenous people of Puerto Rico and other parts of the Caribbean. Their history, knowledge, traditions, and influence remain an important part of Puerto Rican identity today.

My roots are woven into how I understand food, w**e, hospitality, and the importance of bringing people together. They shape the perspective I bring to Vinum House and the work I do across this industry.

These conversations belong in w**e, too.

Latino men and women are essential to the w**e industry, from tending vineyards and harvesting grapes to cellar operations, w**emaking, vineyard management, and hospitality. Their knowledge, skill, and labor help bring countless w**es to our tables, yet their contributions have not always received the recognition they deserve.

After more than 15 years in this industry, I believe celebrating w**e means celebrating the people behind it, the cultures that shape it, and the stories that deserve to be told.

At Vinum House, hospitality is about more than what we serve. It is about whose stories we share, whose contributions we recognize, and who has a place at the table.

Today, and throughout this month, I encourage you to support Latino-owned and Indigenous-owned businesses, discover new voices, learn the histories behind the places and products we enjoy, and share those stories with others.

Because meaningful hospitality begins with recognition, respect, and belonging.

Cheers!

Hospitality is in the details.

This weekend, Vinum House had the pleasure of creating the w**e experience for the Halifax Belvedere Bash at the Daytona Grande.

The evening was inspired by Portuguese culture, and our work began long before the first pour.

We curated a five-w**e lineup to complement the experience, developed tasting notes for each w**e, coordinated the w**e logistics, provided glassware and service materials, prepared 151 w**e gift bags, transported and set everything up, and managed w**e service throughout the evening.

But the part we love most is what happens in the details.

Each guest received tasting notes for the w**es they experienced that evening. And the bottle included in each of the 125 donor gift bags came with its own specially prepared tasting and pairing guide — something guests could take home and reference when they were ready to open their bottle.

Because the experience shouldn't end when the event does.

It should continue at home, around the table, with good food and a bottle that someone thoughtfully selected for you.

That is hospitality.

Thank you to John, Rochelle and the Halifax team for trusting us with the project, to Lytton for helping us bring the w**e experience to life, and to Carmine and the Daytona Grande team for the wonderful hospitality.

At Vinum House, we believe w**e can be so much more than something poured into a glass.

It can tell a story, create connection and become part of the memory of an event.

From w**e curation and event concepts to tasting experiences, corporate gifting, pairing guides, logistics, staffing and ex*****on, we build w**e experiences around your guests — thoughtfully and intentionally.

Planning a corporate holiday gathering, client event, fundraiser, conference or private celebration?

Let's meet at the Table!

Cheers!

Put the producer at the center.

That was the idea behind an intimate evening with Piedmont producer Giulio Rossello.

Twenty guests.
His w**es.
A four-course menu by Chef Chris Perry of Cru Table, inspired by the food and traditions of Piedmont.

And Giulio himself, at the table, answering questions, sharing stories and letting people connect with the person behind the bottle.

Because introducing a small producer to a new market should be more than a tasting.

It should be a conversation.

A connection.

An experience that gives people a reason to remember the w**e — and, hopefully, reach for it again.

In this case, that connection translated immediately into business. Guests purchased generously, and Giulio sold plenty of cases on site.

That matters.

Because hospitality can create beautiful moments, but when we’re working with small producers, we also want those moments to move the needle.

At Vinum House, this is the work we love: bringing the right people together, creating the space, telling the story and giving small producers an opportunity to be seen, tasted and remembered.

Sometimes, you just need to put the person behind the bottle at the center of the room.

The rest can happen around the table. 🍷

Thank you to Rowen and our distribution partner Tuscany Imports for their support as well. Cheers to Giulio and thank you for allowing us to host this event and showcase your wonderful w**es!

🍇 Harvest is one of the best reminders that w**e is never just about what’s in the bottle.

Yesterday was the first day of fall, which means harvest is either beginning, well underway, or wrapping up across w**e regions around the world.

I’ve always loved being able to participate in harvest firsthand. I’ve volunteered at w**eries in North Carolina, picking grapes, sorting fruit, getting dirty, and seeing just how much work happens before a bottle ever makes its way to a tasting room.
And there’s something about being in the vineyard during harvest that changes the way you think about w**e.

You see the decisions.
The timing.
The labor.
The logistics.
The weather.
The people.
The investment.

And ultimately, you understand that the w**e business is an incredibly complex combination of agriculture, production, hospitality, sales, education, and storytelling.

That’s something I think about often when working with w**e businesses.
A great w**e alone doesn’t guarantee a great business.

The experience surrounding that w**e matters.
How you welcome guests.
How you communicate your story.
How you structure your tasting experience.
How you create reasons for people to come back.
How you turn visitors into customers, members, advocates — and eventually, part of your community.

That is a big part of why I created Vinum House.

After years of working across w**e, hospitality, education, events, and w**e business development, I wanted to create a way to bring those pieces together and help w**e producers and hospitality businesses build experiences that are both memorable for the guest and meaningful for the business.

Because sometimes improving a w**ery experience doesn’t require rebuilding everything.

It requires looking at what you already have differently.

And just like harvest, sometimes the best results come from paying attention to the details.

Cheers to harvest season!

🍷 VINUM HOUSE PRO TIP

Stop thinking of your tasting room as a place where people come to taste w**e.
Think of it as a place where people come to experience your w**e.

There’s a big difference.

A tasting flight is a product.

But the story behind the w**e, the person pouring it, the glassware, the pacing, the setting, the conversation, the food pairing, and what guests learn along the way?

**That’s hospitality.**

And hospitality is one of the easiest places for a small w**ery to differentiate itself.
You don't necessarily need a bigger tasting room.
You don't need a bigger w**e list.
You don't need to spend thousands of dollars renovating.

Start by asking:
🍇 What do I want guests to remember?
🍷 What story am I telling with each w**e?
👥 What can my team do to make the experience feel personal?
📖 What can guests learn that they can't get from simply buying the bottle?
✨ What would make them want to come back — and bring someone with them?

The goal isn't just to pour better w**e.

It's to create an experience around the w**e that people want to talk about.

And sometimes, the simplest hospitality changes can have the biggest impact.

As the high season approaches, there’s no better time to start planning what’s next.

At Vinum House, we create w**e and hospitality experiences designed to bring people together — and help businesses make the most of every opportunity.

For w**eries & w**e producers, that might mean:

🍷 A thoughtfully curated w**emaker dinner at your w**ery
🥂 A tasting room experience designed to keep guests engaged, coming back and talking about their visit
✨ Seasonal events that give visitors another reason to walk through your doors
📈 A beverage program or hospitality strategy designed to elevate the guest experience and increase revenue

For w**e lovers, it might mean something completely different:

Welcome to Vinum House 🥂

W**e is what brought us here.
Hospitality is how we bring people together.
Strategy is how we help great ideas grow.

Vinum House is a w**e, hospitality, education, and strategy house created to connect great w**e, thoughtful experiences, and the people behind them.

Built on more than 15 years of hands-on experience, Vinum House draws from every side of the w**e and hospitality industry—from working the floor and managing w**e clubs to event production, w**e education, marketing, hospitality operations, and building w**e businesses from the ground up.

We’ve bought the w**e, poured the w**e, sold the w**e, taught the w**e, built the events, managed the teams, worked with producers, and created the experiences. That perspective shapes everything we do.

We work with individuals, w**e producers, brands, regions, and hospitality businesses to create meaningful connections through w**e, food, and hospitality. We serve nationwide, with special attention to family owned w**eries in the Southeast including but not limited to Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia.

For individuals, that might mean a private w**e experience, dinner, celebration, corporate gathering, wedding, w**e education, or a journey to discover a new w**e region.

For producers and hospitality brands, it might mean trade development, brand strategy, education, hospitality, activations, market development, or creating an experience that brings their story to life.

Whatever brings you to the table, we believe great w**e deserves more than a place on a shelf.

It deserves a story.
An experience.
A reason to be remembered.

That's Vinum House.

W**e. Hospitality. Strategy.

The doors are officially open.

We’re thrilled to announce our first official w**e dinner since returning—Passport to Spain—happening August 30 in the beautiful upstairs space at Femme Du Fromage!

Expect bold flavors, vibrant pairings, and a cozy, communal setting that feels like a night in Barcelona with friends (minus the jet lag). Chef Chris wowed a sold-out crowd at his recent pop-up at Digress W**e—we even had Spaniards in the room who gave their full approval, especially of the Tortilla Española!

Here is the menu:
App: Tortilla Espanola

2nd:
Pulpo Gallego
