Today at Pop we're celebrating Dragon Boat Festival by highlighting our friends at Zen Sushi! Through the weekend on Merrimon, they're offering a delicious Dragon Boat Sushi Boat special featuring:

🐉 Dragon Roll - Eel, crabstick & cucumber inside; avocado & eel sauce on top
🐉 Angry Dragon Roll - Tempura shrimp inside; spicy king crab, crabstick & sweet miso sauce on top

Dragon Boat Festival (Duanwu Festival) is a traditional holiday celebrated in many Chinese communities and throughout Asia. Its most widely known origin honors Qu Yuan, a poet and statesman remembered for his patriotism and integrity. According to legend, people raced boats and tossed rice dumplings into the river in an effort to protect him, traditions that evolved into today's dragon boat races and zongzi.

Today is also Juneteenth, a day of remembrance, reflection, and celebration of Black freedom, resilience, and achievement. We’re grateful to be part of a community shaped by many cultures, traditions, and stories.

New and improved Asheville Grey Milk Tea! It is made using Tea Company’s Asheville Grey tea (their signature blend of Earl Grey and calendula flower), whole milk, sweetened condensed milk, and brown sugar tapioca. Can be made vegan with oat milk and without sweetened condensed milk.

Did you hear Asheville Tea Company is opening a new production facility?!?! It's true! And for this week's we are bringing back Asheville Grey Milk Tea to help them celebrate! It is made using Asheville Tea Company's delicious Asheville Grey tea (their signature blend of Earl Grey and calendula flower), whole milk, sweetened condensed milk, and brown sugar tapioca. Can be made vegan with oat milk and without sweetened condensed milk.
