Exciting Announcement: The Return of Lighter Mount Horsemanship to Seven Oaks Stables
We are thrilled to announce a full-circle moment for Seven Oaks Stables, as we welcome Sara Boelt and her Lighter Mount Horsemanship program to the facility in 2025!
Sara has a rich history with Seven Oaks Stables that dates back over 30 years. As a young equestrian, she boarded her own horse here at what was then Seven Oaks Arabians, under the guidance of the beloved Sonny Fender, the original owner of Seven Oaks and a lifelong horseman whose legacy still resonates deeply within our community. Sonny's passion for horses and commitment to excellence shaped the foundation of Seven Oaks, and we are so proud to see that legacy continue through Sara's incredible program.
Sara brings with her a vibrant, passionate group of young riders affectionately known as her “barn rats.” Her Lighter Mount Horsemanship program is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of equestrians, instilling in them not only the skills of riding but also a deep love and respect for horses. Her approach aligns beautifully with the heart and spirit of Seven Oaks, making this partnership a natural fit.
To have Sara return to Seven Oaks, now as a leader in equestrian education and mentorship, feels like a beautiful tribute to Sonny's memory and a continuation of the values he held dear. We know he would be overjoyed to see the barn buzzing with energy and laughter, just as it was when he proudly ran it.
