llion flowers and flying 55,000 miles to bring this powerful sweetness to your mouth. Part of the hive takes off with a queen to strike off on their own and form a new colony. You’ve probably heard that honeybee colonies are dying off at an alarming rate right now. This appears to be from a variety of factors. There are a lot of things we humans can do to help the bees. The first is simply being aware of the problem and of the importance of bees—both their own inherent value and the value they add to human society. One out of every three bites of food you eat is there because of pollinators. Another thing you can do is support your local beekeepers by buying local honey. Looks like you just did that!
