Room spotlight on: George Vanderbilt's bedroom 🛏️

One of the spots sited using observation towers by Olmsted before the house was built, this room was chosen to be Mr. Vanderbilt's bedroom for its commanding views of the estate. Decorated in a Henry II style, it features heavy, ornate furnishing and deep red textiles.
