P. Comms Int'l (Pignatiello Wine Importer) Importing GREAT wines from Burgundy, France (and a few other regions)

As a Dartmouth student, Steve made lasting friendships with several French people while studying in France. One friend leads to another friend and eventually some of Steve's better friends are some of France's top winemakers. They give Steve access to their personal, family wines -- many of which are not otherwise available in the US.

Two Gardet wines are now in the wine cellar at the Elysee Palace (the French White House). Congrats to the Gardet team. Well deserved!

I'm told that the US Trade Rep did NOT increase the tariffs and has simply extended the 25% rate on the current products being affected. While we had hoped the tariffs would be eliminated, this is much better than the threatened 100% tariffs.

French President Emmanuel Macron and Donald Trump of the U.S. agreed to a truce in their dispute over digital taxes that will mean neither side imposes punitive tariffs this year, a French diplomat said.

“Great discussion with on digital tax,” Macron said in a tweet. “We will work together on a good agreement to avoid tariff escalation.”
