A new chapter for downtown Spruce Pine. ❤️

Two weeks ago Tractor Food & Farms opened its new store on Main Street, bringing locally grown food directly into the heart of the community.🛒🥬🥕🧅🥩

Nearly two years after Hurricane Helene devastated local farms and businesses, this opening means even more. TRACTOR has been helping farmers rebuild and get back into production, and now this beautiful space gives the community another way to support them. Make a point to Spruce Pine. ☺️

If we had to pick a favorite it might be the western province slow pace of life. No traffic, feels a little like island living even though Kivu is a large lake. 🌊

We spend 2-3 nights here visiting our herbal farm partners and offering services when requested. We visit old friends and explore the local markets. For tea lovers there are additional tea gardens which can be toured from this base. 🫖🍃

Bring your suit if you want to go for a dip. This area is also a great place to get some quiet hill runs in or you can rent a mountain bike and explore the local Nile River Trail. 🚴
