If we had to pick a favorite it might be the western province slow pace of life. No traffic, feels a little like island living even though Kivu is a large lake. 🌊

We spend 2-3 nights here visiting our herbal farm partners and offering services when requested. We visit old friends and explore the local markets. For tea lovers there are additional tea gardens which can be toured from this base. 🫖🍃

Bring your suit if you want to go for a dip. This area is also a great place to get some quiet hill runs in or you can rent a mountain bike and explore the local Nile River Trail. 🚴

Let’s go! We are five days into the adventure now. This is what you’ve been waiting for. ⛰️🦍🙈🦧

Gorilla trekking in Rwanda is a bucket list activity which few people actually get around to doing. It’s a long flight, complicated to arrange the details and hard to figure out how the park system works. We take care of it! We absolutely love showing you around and one of the best parts of this trip is watching you all light up the first time you see a gorilla in the wild. ☺️

Moving along! We are now in the high elevation tea fields in Rwanda. We stay in a rustic and comfortable house with many private apartments and a private chef. Beatrice teaches us how to pluck tea and shares a local meal in her mud hut home. We go on hikes, take a factory tour and generally detox and soak in the healthy mountain air. 🍃🍃🍃🍃🍃🍃🧘⛰️

The new Gorilla Story is out today and we are SO excited! 🦍

The majestic Virunga Mountain gorillas in Rwanda helped to inspire our brand. It’s where we have long standing partnerships, where our tea grows, and where our Crop to Cup trip takes place, which includes spending a day with these gorillas. 🥰

We’re here today to celebrate this film and the broader work of protecting the ecosystems and communities connected to this extraordinary place, including the brave work of Dian Fossey and nonprofit.
