Cafe Israel returns to Asheville on Sunday, May 19 from 11-2 pm featuring Israeli food & wine; folk dancing; local craft beers and much more to celebrate Israel's 71st birthday. Slip away into the exotic world of the Bedouins to sip Turkish coffee and sample films from the region, all in honor of Israel’s 69th birthday. Children will enjoy our traditional archaeological dig with take-home treasure

s; inflatables; balloon twisting from Twister Theater; and crafts and games. While the children play, shop our silent auction featuring fine art, theater and play performances, trolley tours, and much more. Our LIVE auction (featuring Jonas Gerard art, Moog Sub Phatty, as well as legal, entertainment, and catering services) begins at 7 pm. Curious foodie? Our dishes are ethnic, authentic and hand-prepared. Many are Moroccan family recipes handed down for generations. Sample falafel and schwarma, mabucha and malabi! Save room for dessert? Bruce B. Brown Catering, renowned for its flavorful kosher delicacies, will serve hand-prepared Israeli desserts. Today, Sunday April 30 from 11 AM - 2:30 PM Cafe Israel returns to nourish body and spirit in North Asheville. Welcoming all with homemade vegetarian dishes (falafel, schwarma, matbucha, Moroccan eggplant, hummus and techina) available for purchase. Enjoy local beer; Israeli wine; great Israeli music; folk dancing; a Kids' Zone; our Bedouin Tent with Turkish coffee and mint tea; and a $5K Silent Auction. Our Story

Cafe Israel returns to Asheville on Sunday, May 19 from 11-2 pm featuring Israeli food & wine; folk dancing; local craft beers and much more to celebrate Israel's 71st birthday. Come enjoy mouthwatering food & friends and explore Israeli culture & cuisine with hand-prepared dishes, raffles from our generous supporters, a visit to our exotic Bedoin tent, Kids' Zone, and art vendors galore!

With generations-old family recipes handmade by grandmas and grandpas, it's no wonder Cafe Israel is fast becoming Asheville's must-do family fun & food festival. Free admission. See you there, rain or shine!
