Before it was our kitchen, 49 Broadway was a furniture store built in 1928. At other times it was a church and a performance art space (pictured here.). In the early 2000s, it was restored to the exacting standards of the National Register of Historic Places.

Years ago, Kim made a quiet promise: the people who make this kitchen run would always earn a living wage.
