We’re limiting our capacity so we can give you the best hospitality you have come to know and love at our restaurants.

Our updated hours will be 5 days/week:

Closed Monday & Tuesday
Wednesday through Sunday: 3 - 9 PM

For to-go orders, we’re currently taking phone orders ONLY so we can better manage pickup times and make sure every order gets the attention it deserves.

Call us at 828-407-1770 to place an order. You can pick up your order at our takeout window on Spears Avenue or inside at the counter.

Our air conditioning is giving us trouble today in the dining room. We will be open for counter service and dine-in, but we strongly encourage you to CALL AND ORDER TAKE-OUT to ensure the most comfortable dining experience.

Our to-go window, located on the left side of the building on Spears Ave, will be OPEN so you can call to order and pick up food.

We know everyone is excited to experience The Majestic in full swing. Our team is working hard behind the scenes to get the AC on as soon as possible this weekend.

Wow, Asheville, YOU SHOWED UP!!!

Due to your overwhelming support, we ran out of food 3 hours into our evening. We greatly appreciate your patience with our team as we navigated an extreme level of business on our first day. Thank you to those who came out to celebrate with us.

PLEASE NOTE: We are expecting a high volume of business over the next few days. Please, be patient with our team. There will likely be increased wait times and limited food availability. If we run out of food, we will need to close early. You are welcome to call us at 828-407-1770 if you plan to visit later in the evening to make sure we are still open.

Tasting Notes, Part 3.
Grand Central Station.

Owner Eric Scheffer brings us to one of his favorite spots, pointing out the exact seats where he used to sit with his father at an oyster bar, waiting on trains. The ceilings and tiles overhead were designed by Gustavino, the same craftsman behind the basilica back home in Asheville.

This is the kind of memory The Majestic is built on. Not just the food Eric grew up eating, but the moments around it.

Meet Vivian ✨
Our FOH General Manager.

Vivian’s journey began in China, where she was born and raised, before she moved to the United States in 2015 and eventually found a home in Asheville, one she’s cherished for seven years now.

She says, “I’ve always had a deep passion for the restaurant industry, and Chinese food isn’t just something I love to serve—it’s part of who I am.” With a career path rooted in the F&B industry, she started as a hostess at Red Ginger Dim Sum & Tapas in 2020, where she worked her way up with heart and dedication to assistant manager. After a trip home to visit her parents, she found her way to The Majestic this past June, where she mentions, “I’ve been amazed by how wonderful the people are here in the Scheffer group; there are so many motivated, supportive individuals who genuinely focus on solving conflicts and working as a team. It really feels like a positive environment to be part of.”

When she’s not at the restaurant, she’s studying Accounting at UNCA, practicing yoga to stay centered, or spending precious time with her family. She’s currently reading “How to Be Perfect” by Michael Schur, and its message has settled deep in her: “chasing perfection is unrealistic. Instead, the goal is to stay humble, keep learning, and grow every day.” It’s a philosophy she carries into every shift, every team, and every day.

Some places earn their reputation one plate at a time. is one of those places, and our owner Eric would know. He’s been coming here since he was a kid, and after all these years, he knows exactly what to order. This trip, he brought along our executive chef Kaya for the ride.

Egg rolls. Spare ribs. Shrimp with lobster sauce. Salt and pepper shrimp. String beans done right.

This is the kind of research that shapes a menu.

Meet Chef Kaya.

The Majestic is coming, and this is the woman running the kitchen.

Kaya has been with The Scheffer Group for four years, working her way up from line cook at The Original Vinnie’s through prep, management, and eventually sous chef at Gan Shan, where she spent years immersed in bold Asian flavors, technique, and the kind of cooking that demands both precision and instinct. But her roots in Asian cuisine go back further.

Before joining the group, she was cooking and managing the line at a Korean restaurant in Oregon, where she first found her footing in Asian kitchens. She’s been in food service since she was 16 and has done just about every position in the kitchen. The Majestic is where it all comes together.

On what she’s most excited about: “I’m most excited to have great Chinese food in this town.”

On what she loves about cooking: “When I eat something I like, I can just reverse engineer it and make it myself.” Honestly, we all wish we had that skill, too!

Born in western Carolina, raised in eastern Carolina, with a stretch of years in Oregon before coming back home. Outside the kitchen, she’s biking, reading fantasy, playing board games, and managing what she describes as two chaotic orange cats and a dog who is a very good boy.
