After 10 wonderful years, we have made the difficult decision that Farmer Dave's will no longer be operating Hill Orchard in Westford.

This decision was not made lightly. We have truly loved being part of the Westford community and caring for such a special property over the past decade. We’ve made so many memories with you and have deeply appreciated the support, kindness, and loyalty from all of you.

As our farm in Dracut continues to grow, as Dave and Jane’s kids are getting older and the family busier, and as the demands on our team continue to increase, we’ve had to take an honest look at what we can realistically manage well. With the distance between Dracut and Westford, we don't feel that we have the time or staff capacity to care for Hill Orchard the way it deserves.

Hill Orchard is an incredibly special place. The orchard was purchased by the Town of Westford in the late 1990s to preserve its agricultural heritage for future generations. Farmer Dave’s was honored to serve as the second steward of the property, and we are confident the Town will find another wonderful farm manager to continue preserving and caring for this beautiful orchard for the Westford community for many years to come.

While this chapter is coming to a close, we are incredibly grateful for the years we’ve had with you and for everyone who supported Farmer Dave’s at Hill Orchard along the way. Thank you for visiting, shopping, picking apples, and making Hill Orchard such a meaningful part of our farm story. ❤️

For our CSA members: Westford CSA pickups will continue at Hill Orchard for now while we search for a new long-term Westford pickup location.

If you have recommendations or contacts for a potential pickup site with ample year-round parking, we would truly love to hear from you.

Thank you again, Westford. We will miss being part of your community more than you know.
