Our sweet Stan Lee passed over the kitty rainbow today. What a gift it was to share a part of this life with him ❤️

He watched over the garden from shoulders, and whispered happy thoughts down below with all the veg. He often took in the evening air from the front yard bidding the wonderful day, a goodnight.

He brought so much joy to the farm and all who visited. We all love you Stan the Man, Papa Stan, our best friend and companion ❤️

ROOT VEGGIES 🥕🫜🥔
Carrots, beets, radishes, oh my! These vegetables will keep for so long in the fridge if stored properly. The trick is to cut off the tops! Save the tops to use for cooking if you’d like and store the root vegetables loose.

-DO separate roots from leafy tops before putting them away. This will keep all parts crisp and fresh longer.
-DON’T throw the whole bunch in the fridge in tact. They will get floppy and sad 😞

Tomatoes 🍅 💚
The STAR of summer produce! If you love these babies as much as we do, read our tips for maximum enjoyment.

DO store them on your counter 👍🏼 Tomatoes of all shapes and sizes are best stored and eaten at room temperature.
DO freeze them if they start to get overripe. You can freeze tomatoes whole and thaw them later to use in soups and sauces!
DON’T store tomatoes in the fridge! It will make them mealy and flavorless 😩

We wish this summer beauty could last all year! It’s season is short around here though, so we want to help you make the most of it.

Here’s how to make your fresh basil last.
- Put your basil right into a glass of water and keep it on the counter or windowsill. Cut leaves and blossoms as needed for cooking.
- DO store basil at room temperature.
- DON’T store basil in the fridge. It can’t stand the cold. 🥶

The fields are bursting into bloom, summer is officially underway, and our CSA pickups are in full swing. 🌸☀️

There’s something special about this time of year; the rows are filling in, the flowers are thriving, and the season’s first harvests are making their way from our fields to your tables.

We’re grateful for every member, every visit to the farm, and every chance to share the abundance of the season with our community.
