I have not posted lately, but we have been busy to say the least. We have had some piglets born, added 3 bottle lambs, added a guardian puppy and tried to be outside as much as possible.

Does anyone else have random stray kittens that find their way into your house?

Well this is the 2nd time! It was about 11pm last night and Robb went to turn the lights off and head to bed. All of a sudden I heard a, “Nick, come quick!” I ran to the sunroom to find him crouched down with a flashlight looking under the couch. “I see a cat!” Fast forward to a snap shot of us with the bed pulled out of the sleeper sofa and tipped up on its side because the kitten had found a cubby that it crawled up into in the arm of the couch. It was looking like we were going to have to cut the fabric to be able to reach the thing. Before we did that we decided to try to tip the couch back down for some reason. When we did, this poor kitten went running out of there and was clawing at anything it could. It climbed up our curtains before running towards me and up our stairs to the loft. Luckily I am good with a net (and I mean good by wildly flinging this massive fish net around knocking everything over) and I was able to catch him on his way up the stairs. It wasn’t pretty, but we caught him haha. He is back outside with the other cats that roam the neighborhood.

So best we can figure is we have a hole in our ducts under the house and it came up through the vent. At least that is how the first kitten got in 2 months ago (we thought we fixed the hole then, guess not🤦‍♀️). I wish I would have gotten a picture. You would have seen Robb in his thick carhart coat with thick leather gloves (In case he was able to actually grab the kitten) and me holding a net wildly flinging it around. But oh well, maybe next time 😆.

I dislike our pigs very much sometimes. Specifically BP (boy piggy). I have started to prepare myself for his death several times since we got him (4 to be exact). Let me explain: (sorry for the long post) We noticed that BP was VERY (an understatement) interested in Dolly (one of our sows) yesterday. So we did the math and realized she would be giving birth to piglets middle of August which we have a trip planned leaving literally the day she would be due. So, we decided to wait another month before putting them together. Well, I went out to feed them this morning and saw BP lying in the girls pen. Of course the initial ugh! was let out because of the piglet situation coming in August now. So I proceeded to feed them noticing that BP wasn’t moving. I yelled and threw food (hitting him). I tried and tried to get him up without actually going into the pen because of course this is the morning I chose to wear flip flops. I was not wanting to wake Robb since he has been working so hard and it was early still. (BP has done this in the past. He is such a sound sleeper that I have called Robb because I thought he was dead, only to have Robb run out with thermometer and meds in hand ready to hopefully save him, only to startle him awake from a VERY VERY deep sleep.) But this time I was sure he was injured if not dead already. You see, there is a hog panel with several stakes between the pens. He had managed to bend the top of the hog panel and squeeze up over and through the hog panel and their house. So I thought for sure either his leg was broken or he had gashes from the panel. In the very least I thought the girls might have beat him up because I have been told to never put the male in with the females because they are territorial (always do the other way). So, I fed everyone else while still yelling for BP before finally succumbing to waking Robb up. Literally less than a minute after I called Robb, BP slowly gets up and starts eating the food spread all around him.🤦‍♀️ Now we have to figure out the impending piglet situation. But I will let future Robb and Nichole deal with that one for now.

This little piggy officially has a name. Meet Pixie. She has made her home in our dining room and is working on potty training. She loves snuggling with McKenna; however, she utterly hates baths. We seriously need earplugs for everyone in the house when we give her a bath.

This little girl is glad to be inside on this cold morning.

Yesterday we decided to bring the runt in as she is almost 5 weeks but looks 1. Mk has bathed her and now claimed her as hers. We will see where this goes. I did not plan on having a pig in the house but knew it would come someday.

I am about 3 weeks late, but... The day before our second child was born, we woke up to 6 adorable piglets. We had a very hectic day as we were not expecting piglets. We are now enjoying our new addition as well as chasing piglets (we have 14 now as our other momma gave birth to 8 piglets 2days later) that keep finding ways out of their pens.
