WHAT A DAY! We had an incredible time at the largest Roseburg Dairy Goat Show in memory—75 Senior Nigerian Dwarf Does! ‼️

Every single Twin Pears doe did me proud racking up: 2xGCH, 2xBOB, 3xBUOB, 1xRGH, 8xFirst Place Udder 🏵🏵🏆🏆🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇😱 WOW. WOW. WOW.

Our STAND OUT STARS for the day were:

GCH (pending) Twin Pears MB Hello Dolly 2*M: Taking Grand Champion, Best of Breed, and Best Udder of Breed under April Hitch and Rebeka Rupchis, finishing her Permanent Championship! 🥳🙌

As a five year old, fifth freshener, Dolly speaks true to genetics that only get BETTER with time, not flash in the pan. Every judge praised her for her long dairy bone pattern, depth of body and rear udder height and width. Finishing Dolly was my “A” Goal for 2026 and I’m a little sad I don’t need to show her anymore! I forgot I probably need a “B” goal. 😅 I love working with Dolly. I’m grateful to have three daughters from her in my barn to carry on her legacy in the show ring!

My SECOND STANDOUT was Oregon Trail Huckleberry, yearling FF! Some of you may recall from previous posts that Huckleberry came back to me as a sales agreement of her dam, Twin Pears M Blkberry VEEE89, so while she’s not in my herd name, she is Twin Pears through and through. And what a doe! This yearling really gets the crowd talking wherever she goes—width, depth, exceptional mammary, dairy type—she’s honestly hard to take your eyes off of. So much so, that we kept a buckling from her, Twin Pears Obsidian Blackberry, who you will see on our breeding schedule.

I will mention again that the through line in these girls is Twin Pears CT MoonBean *B (Buttin’Heads Containerized +*B EEE91 x SG Sugar Moon V Java Pepper 5*M VEEE88 ELITE), sire and grandsire to both of these does. I was extremely fortunate to bring Bean back into the fold late last year and he had a fantastic collection, so straws are available (he is also paired with a few does for 2027 kids).

We had some really excellent placings for our other younger does as well, but I’ll save their posts for a later date.

I know you’ve all been waiting. 😅 And yes, you were all correct.

I’m thrilled to introduce our new junior herdsire….Wolfivan Polynesian Prince! 👑💛

Prince is sired by Wolfivan Yohimbe Root (Wolfivan Rumors and Gossip x Wolfivan Nettle Root EVEE90 4th Place Yearling Milker 2024 Nationals) out of Wolfivan Tahitian Princess (Hilltown Meadows Ride or Die x GCH Castle Rock Tahitian Treasure VEEE91). Yohimbe Root was also 3rd place Jr get of Sire at 2025 Nationals.

Many thanks to Renee for letting one of her “keepers” come home to Twin Pear Farm! It was such a pleasure discussing her genetics. Renee is a gem to work with. 💎☺️

The Wolfivan name speaks for itself, but when I put my hands on Mr. Prince, he is on a whole other level! I can easily see (and feel) why Wolfivan has been described as “unbeatable!” 😍 I can’t wait to see what he does for our herd, and for those we sell his future kids to.

So without further ado, our 2027 Breeding Schedule is LIVE (link in comments)! Right now I’m only focusing on the Senior does, as I’m continuing to observe the junior does to decide their best match as they grow out, but they are indeed forthcoming. Everything is subject to change! And for the first time I think we will do some pasture breeding, so kidding dates may not be exact. I’m shooting for Dec-Feb kiddings, so prepare yourself accordingly.

Our resident “milk monster,” Twin Pears Milan Fashion Week 9*M, is still at it!

During our May milk test she produced 6.3lbs of milk like it was no big deal. She freshened February 10, 2026.

At 106 Days in Milk as a second freshener, she’s already produced 644lbs of milk, 40lbs of Butterfat and 27lbs of Protein. For some does, that’s what they would achieve in their entire 305 lactation and get their AR milk star for it. But Milan is swinging for the fences.

This girl puts it all in the pail and has a VERY quick fill. I know it’s easy to forget sometimes as we get preoccupied with this or that trait, but this is a DAIRY goat through and through. Just how far will she go this year? Stay tuned!

Twin Pears Majestic Duchess wrapped up our (6 mo! 🙀) kidding season late last night with a 5lb 4oz blue eyed buckling 💙 and a perfect little doeling 💗🥰. She handled it like a champ!

It is such an incredible blast from the past welcoming kids sired by Twin Pears CT MoonBean *B (Buttin’Heads Containerized *B EEE91 x SG Sugar Moon V Java Pepper 5*M VEEE88 ELITE) who we let go too soon! Many thanks to the Hatcher Homestead for letting him return late last year. ☺️ It’s often said that you don’t know if a buck is worth his salt until he’s either dead or sterile. Thankfully, Bean returned to us before either of those events occurred and he has definitely proved he’s worth his salt in his gorgeous mature daughters! I’m so grateful for him. 😊

The doeling, Twin Pears MB Cleopatra, is RETAINED, and her brother, Twin Pears MB Pharaoh, is SALE PENDING. I was totally prepared for wattles, but neither has them. 😄

As I was putting my kidding supplies away, I felt immense gratitude for the 47 healthy kids we welcomed in 2026. 29 Bucks, 18 Does. I was trepidatious heading into this kidding season because the landscape for Nigerian Dwarfs has changed so much in the past few years. In spite of that, y’all still showed up and we’ve had incredible buyers this year. Every single last kid has been placed in a wonderful home I feel good about. What a blessing!

Phew! What a year and I’ve already been getting questions about when our 2026/2027 Breeding Plans will be out. 😅 I’m gonna need a minute. 😮‍💨 But things are percolating in the back of my mind and there will be some changes in our buck lineup to report soon, so stay tuned. 👀

Only two more days until our LAST doe of the season is officially due! 👏🏻 💃 🪩

Twin Pears Majestic Duchess 6*M (CH Heaven’s Hollow Majesty +*B EEE90 x Oak Apple Layla 5*M VEEV 89) will be a 3yo 3F and is easily one of my favorite does in the barn. Exceptional general appearance, with an equally exceptional personality. She only had a single buckling last year, so she didn’t make the trek to Nationals, but was right at the top of the class for the only show she attended in 2025. Dang, I love looking at her. She’s everything I want in a dairy goat. 😍🥰

And what may be even more exciting is that she’s bred to Twin Pears CT MoonBean *B! (Buttin’Heads Containerised *B EEE91 x SG Sugar Moon V Java Pepper 5*M VEEE88 ELITE). 👏🏻 👏🏻

MoonBean produces exceptional daughters with length of body, wide flat ribbing, beautiful attachments with tight MSLs. Not to mention increasing production.

Oh man, I can’t wait to see these kids! For now we will wish Duchess a happy, healthy kidding. Stay tuned! 🥰

CONGRATULATIONS to GCH pending Five Water IC Primrose 5*M on her new Permanent Champion Status! 👏🏻 👏🏻 Primrose is only two years old and the daughter of Twin Pears Sweet Irish Cream +*B ELITE. 🍀

You may recall Irish is also sire to Five Waters IC Jasmine 5*M ELITE who produced just shy of 1,800lbs of milk last year 🤯. What a guy! (Yes, I have more straws available)

I’m so proud of my friends at Five Waters Ranch for all they have (and continue) to accomplish. ☺️ You rock! 🌟

I gotta tell yah, choosing not to show myself this weekend, leaving open the space to garden, sleep in, go on a bike ride, AND watch our genetics succeed multiple times zone away is the biggest win of all. I hope you all are equally enjoying your Memorial Day weekend!
