Twin Pear Farm llc We are a family farm located in beautiful Ashland, Oregon. We raise ELITE, show quality Nigerian Dwarf goats and sell award-winning goat milk soap and lotion.

Our motto is "Consistently pursuing excellence." A decade ago we wondered if it was possible to return to the lifestyle of our grandparents (perhaps great grandparents) while keeping a foot in the modern world. After the birth of our twins we knew it was time to make a change for quality over quantity, hard work over computer work, dirty overalls over street wear. In 2012 we found a magical piece of land featuring twin granddaddy pear trees in the Applegate Valley. We immediately got to work, transforming it into the homestead we imagined. As a family we chop firewood, raise chickens, milk goats, grow vegetables, create crafts, and share the abundance with our neighbors at our small roadside farmstand. There's nothing quite like falling asleep on sun-dried sheets after working outside all day, creating with your own two hands. It's a ton of work, but we wouldn't have it any other way.

As always, everything is happening at once. By the numbers!:

✔︎ 230+ lotions made for our holiday markets (about 140 ish? to go). Thank you Helen for your assistance labeling!

✔︎ 1 Trailer load of alfalfa picked up and loaded into our hay loft (thank you Gail, Mike and Emmett!)

✔︎ 2 does packed and CVI completed for transport this weekend

✔︎ 2 pregnancies confirmed and trying to clean up the last of the open does

✔︎ 2 CIDRs pulled and van packed for AI class in Roseburg tomorrow

✔︎ 3 Bucks getting their “special clips” for collection on Monday (Wolfivan Polynesian Prince, Twin Pears Dream’s Louis V, Oak Apple Sweet Dreams)

Oh, and the online orders!! 📦

I’m pooped! But the next three days are busy, so rest up I shall (as much as any goat farmer can 😅). Crossing fingers for positive AIs and successful collections! And let’s keep those online orders rolling! 😁

I really am so thrilled to have Twin Pears Majestic Odysseus *B back in the herd. 🥰

He is just as sweet and mellow as his sire, he’s not too big, not too small, Ody is just right!

You know when you look at a nice looking kid and wonder how they’ll mature? Ody is evidence that everything I saw in him as a newborn kid is *exactly* everything I love about him now, 4 years later (plus more depth and maturity). He was “correct” then and he’s correct now! We intend to continue to do his papa’s amazing genetics proud. It’s gonna be awhile, but I’m excited to put Ody into high gear next breeding season 2027! And at some point I’ll do him justice and update his web page with pics of his beautiful daughters. 😅

Our third and FINAL buck we’re having collected this year is Twin Pears Dream’s Louis V *B!

Well, there’s QUITE a lot to say about this buck, his dam, and his family. If you’re looking for the short version, this family produces the 40-40-40 udder of dreams and has off-the-charts ELITE milk production. 🔥🔥

🏵 His dam is the infamous GCH Twin Pears Sweet Marimekko 7*M 99% ELITE GEEE91 @3 07, 40 Foreudder, 42 Rear Udder Heigh, 40 Rear Udder Arch @4 08! She was 7th place 3 yo at 2023 Nationals and 9th place Dam and Daughter with Twin Pear’s Maj’s Fashion Week. Marimekko has also earned 5xBOB, 5xBUOB, 2xBIS and 2x Res. All-American. As a 4th freshener, Marimekko produced 1392lbs of milk, 92lbs BF, and 63lbs of protein in 305 days. Can we say WOW? What a resume! 🤩

Louis V has some incredible sisters, too.

🏆 🥛PATERNAL SISTER: Twin Pears Milan Fashion Week 9*M 99% ELITE appraised VEEE91 this year as a 2yo 2F and is currently climbing with 1300lbs of milk, 80lbs of BF, and 54lbs of protein at 224 DIM (this lactation is still in progress!). She scored 43 in foreudder, 46 in RUH and 45 in RUA! 😳

🏆🥛 MATERNAL SISTER: Twin Pears Maj’s Fashion Week 8*M 99% ELITE appraised GEEE89 @ 2 05 with 38 in foreudder, 40 RUH, 40 RUA. She produced 1510lbs of milk, 98lbs BF, and 69lbs of protein last year as a 3yo 3F. 🤩

And, of course, it’s hard to miss that Louis is quite nice to look at (hellloooo length and width!).😍

We already have 20 pre-orders on Louis, so if you’d like to get some of his straws, I recommend speaking up ASAP!

Today we are VERY excited to welcome home Twin Pears Majestic Odysseus *B! 🖤🤍💎👏

It has been my greatest pleasure watching all of our GCH Heaven’s Hollow Majesty ++*B EEE90 progeny mature into exceptional adults, in our herd and many others (Twin Pears Majestic Columbia EEE91, Twin Pears Majestic Duchess VEEE91, Twin Pears Majestic Queen VEEE90, Twin Pears Majestic East India VEEE90, and many more.) Odysseus is no exception.

“Ody” was a retained buckling you just couldn’t take your eyes off of—exceptional rear legs, level top line, body capacity and his papa’s crystal blue eyes. Just a really nicely put together buck, plus a good disposition. We had Odysseus appraised at just 1yr 6mo old, and he scored VGV87(rare for a yearling buck!) and our appraiser said “he’s very correct!”

At that time our whole herd was full of Majesty daughters and we didn’t have a whole lot of does to breed him to, so he went to work for my friend Whitney at Mitchell Family Farm.

But I never forgot about Ody. I thought about him a lot.

Over the past few months Whitney and I made plans for Odysseus, now 4 years old, to return to Twin Pear Farm. I thought this was going to happen in 2027, so his early arrival means I might be able to breed him to a doe or two (if any are still open 😅)!

Odysseus is just as I remembered him and handsome as ever! 😍 I’m thrilled he took on his sire’s shorter stature, as we have some “tallish” herd members.😄 Odysseus is still “very correct.”💕

The other good news? We have Odysseus straws available! We had him collected as a yearling by Frozen Assets, so there’s Ody to go around. I would love to have some fellow Performance Herds help me get more daughters on milk test and LA’d, so shoot me a message if you need some Odysseus in your tank!

Ody was a single buckling, so no littermate sister to show off, BUT I’m including some udder pics of his many gorgeous paternal sisters! Many ELITE with lactations from 1k-1500lbs! Oh, and some fun pictures of Ody growing up!

Our second buck scheduled for collection is the GORGEOUS Oak Apple Sweet Dreams *B, the son of CH Old Mountain Farm Contender and Oak Apple Layla 6*M VEEV88 @5 00 (SG Old Mountain Farm Cernunnos ++*B x GCH Oak Apple Kireina 5*M).

Layla produced some INCREDIBLE daughters in her short time with us. Her progeny uniformly have incredible body capacity, high & wide thurls, level rumps, and beautiful rear udder arches. They do exceptionally well in the show ring with high appraisal scores:

💫LITTERMATE TO SWEET DREAMS—Oak Apple Bedtime Story VEEE89 @2 06, was 2xJGCH and 2x BJDIS before taking 17th Place 2 year old at 2023 Nationals

💫Lazy P Farms Rita on the Rocks 7*M ELITE (owned by Lazy P Farms) appraised VVEV87 this year as a two year old 2F and has many ribbons to her name (though I will need Lazy P to fill you in on the specifics!).

You can’t ask for more consistency than that!

Sweet Dreams’ sire is CH Old Mountain Farm Contender, son of the famous Old Mountain Farm Grey Cheek and the inimitable SG NC Promisedland Nemesis VEEE90 @9 02(!!).

Phew! I’m getting excited just thinking about these genetics. 😅 I think this pedigree speaks for itself! Someone grab me a fan! 👒

This is our first year utilizing Sweet Dreams (he was born on our farm but only recently returned), and we can’t wait to get him “in the can” and his first Twin Pears kids on the ground! But with the consistency in this line, I can already imagine almost exactly what they’ll look like. 😍

FIRST UP our GOLDEN BOY: Wolfivan Polynesian Prince 👑💛

We are expecting MANY kids from Prince in 2027. Not only is he level and long bodied, you can't believe his dairy ribbing and dairy skin when you get your hands on him. 😍 It’s no wonder his family is FULL of National Show winners and top 10 placings. But, for me, I don't just want a nice looking buck. I need the mammary systems behind it and his dam's is chef's kiss! I like snug attachments and a tight medial. Tick Tick. ✅✅

His sire is none other than Wolfivan Yohimbe Root! I’m including a photo of Prince’s paternal sister, Wolfivan Golden Aura. Wow! She was 4th place Senior kid at the 2025 ADGA National Show. 😍 Yohimbe root is the son of Wolfivan Rumors and Gossip (Wolfivan Tahitian Monoi +*B x GCH Hidden Hills Natural Mystic EEEE92 Top 10 2022, Total Performer and 2nd place 4 yr old at the 2023 National Show) Yohimbe Root’s dam is CH Wolfivan Nettle Root EVEE90 (CH Agape's Prize CountN on Quinn *B x GCH Wolfivan CQ Ginger Root EEEE92 2023 National Champion) who was 4th place yearling milker at the 2024 ADGA National Show.

Prince’s dam is a very exciting young doe, Wolfivan Tahitian Princess, who already has tremendous body capacity and gorgeous mammary system as a two year old second freshener. She received her first leg this summer. Tahitian Princess is the daughter of Hilltown Meadows Ride or Die (Old Mountain Farm Brown Ear x CH Old Mountain Farm Dalton Quinn (1st place yearling milker at the 2022 National Show) and GCH Castle Rock Tahitian Treasure VEEE91 (Lil Miss B Haven WM Hokeypokey x CH Castle Rock Tahitian Sunset 2019 National Champion and National Best Udder VEVE90).

Polynesian Prince is N/N by Parentage and already has DNA on file. I’m not expecting a ton of straws since he is still new the breeding game, but he has already successfully settled several of our does.

There has been FAR, far too much going on here at Twin Pear Farm to keep up with news, but this one is too big to keep quiet! 🤯

After kidding season last year, I had planned to retire SG Oak Apple Marocchino “Rocci,” due to concerns about her age, keeping condition, and that she’d seemed to develop arthritis post-kidding (though she flawlessly kidded triplets this spring at 10 years old). And I was totally at peace with that. However, what I thought was arthritis turned out to be a soft tissue injury that completely resolved. Throughout this year she has successfully maintained condition while also producing milk at an ELITE level. So I thought “Well, if I breed her and she settles, she’s ready for one last kidding”…and here we are! 😮🙀

Rocci, as we call her, is CONFIRMED bred to Wolfivan Polynesian Prince (Wolfivan Yohimbe Root x Wolfivan Tahitian Princess) with 2-3! Due January 27, 2027. WOW. 😳🤩

Rocci has been the MOST consistent producer of ELITE and High Appraising progeny I’ve personally experienced, here are a few of her INCREDIBLE kids off the top of my head:
