It has been a long hard year but we are back in business. The first field is down and ready to be baled. Our amazing friend Ellie Ohiso of Green Door Magazine has designed an beautiful website but we are still looking for someone to make it interactive. So, if you want hay and/or know someone who can make our website come to life please contact us.

Thank you to all those who came to help. The cleanup phase is still ongoing and we will keep you updated on the progress of Mayfair Farms.

Sadly, we now begin a major cleanup. Everything was submerged, including the house. Let's just call this upcoming year our sabbatical. Maybe the hay next summer will grow faster and we will be the first farmers to have 3rd cut. Look for pictures coming soon.

The baler scoops up the hay from the neat rows and packs it into a tight square and ties it together with baler twine. The fun part is when it spits it into the hay wagon.
