Awesome news from Washington! Milk is back!

VICTORY! 🥛 House Passes Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act!

Huge news from Washington today!

We are thrilled to announce that the U.S. House of Representatives has voted to approve the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act! This is a monumental victory for student health, parental choice, and our hard-working dairy farmers here in Virginia.

For too long, schools have been restricted from offering the milk options that kids enjoy most at home. Today’s vote is a decisive step toward fixing that. By restoring the option for schools to serve whole and 2% milk, we are ensuring that:

-Students get the 13 essential nutrients they need for growth and development.

-Schools will see less food waste because kids actually drink the milk they are served.

-Parents have peace of mind knowing their children have access to wholesome, nutritious options.

This legislation now heads to the President’s desk to be signed into law.

A massive thank you to everyone who advocated, made calls, and supported this common-sense legislation. It’s a great day for the dairy industry and an even better day for America’s kids! 🥛

Kids across America are Thumbs Up and Thankful! Lift Your Glass (of Whole Milk) to celebrate!! **Whole Milk Champion Congressman GT Thompson, Chair of the House Ag Committee, reported at 2:40 pm today, Nov. 20, 2025 that endless years of effort have produced passage of THE WHOLE MILK FOR HEALTHY KIDS ACT by the U.S. Senate on unanimous consent.**
NEXT STOP: Back to the House of Representatives for a vote expected right after Thanksgiving, then on to the President's Desk. The House previously passed this bill in the last legislative session overwhelmingly bipartisan 330 to 91. Since we are in a new legislative session they will get to make it official -- again! But this time with the Senate hurdle overcome!
