Indigenous People's Day. Today we are are recognizing the stunning genocides and destructions of people and planet...with a day...how should we use this day?

"Revering mountain and forest, ocean and sky" and grieving today, that's what I'm doing.

Here is something from Pam Houston's important book
Without Exception: reclaiming abortion, personhood and freedom that touched me deeply:

I am heartbroken that as a population we have turned a blind eye to the wisdom and generosity and respect and cooperative spirit the people who tended these lands before colonization offered to show up, that as settlers we became slaves to abstractions like money and process and power, when we ought to have revered mountain and forest, ocean and sky.

I know it's a crazy time. I know the idea of coming up to PrayerFarm in the middle of the week sounds crazy.

Anyone out there available for childcare/babycare or know someone great, THIS Saturday 11-6?
Could become a monthly gig if it works out--sometimes there is one baby, like this month, sometimes there's a little posse, it's a minimum of $20 and hour and its here at PrayerFarm - Ashland. While you are caring for these children, their parents will be doing Family Constellation Work working with their own family systems, and building resiliency for their families and for our community because strong families make for strong communities.
