🍈 New video is live! Hydroponic melons on a cattle panel trellis! 🌱

This week we’re planting hydroponic melons and moving them outside into our cattle panel trellis system between the greenhouse and the strawberry high tunnel.

I love projects like this because they’re part experiment, part farm-life adventure, and part “let’s see if we can make this work.” These melon plants started in the greenhouse, and now they’re going into grow bags where they’ll be fed hydroponically and trained up the trellis instead of sprawling all over the ground.

The big question is… can we get beautiful melons hanging from this cattle panel system before the season is over?

Come watch the new video and let me know what you think — would you try growing melons this way?

It’s arugula planting day in the greenhouse! 🌱

I’m sharing a simple little growing trick I use in my hydroponic NFT channels to get fuller, healthier arugula without overcrowding the plants.

Instead of planting one Oasis cube in each hole, I use two — and there’s a good reason for it. I get better germination, better airflow, healthier roots, and a prettier harvest.

It’s a quick video, but if you grow leafy greens, herbs, or just like seeing what we’re doing in the greenhouse, I think you’ll enjoy this one.

🍅 Want bigger tomatoes this season?

Katy just shared 3 tomato growing secrets that most gardeners are never taught — and these are the same simple techniques we use in the greenhouse to keep our plants producing strong all season long.

In the video, she shows:

✅ Why we remove lower branches
✅ Why we actually remove some tomatoes from each cluster
✅ Why pH and nutrient balance matter so much
✅ How we ended up harvesting 112 pounds of tomatoes for our CSA

Even though we grow ours in a hydroponic greenhouse, these tips can help anyone growing tomatoes — backyard gardeners, raised bed growers, greenhouse growers, and hydroponic growers too.
