🎶 “Here comes the sun… do do do dooo…” 🎶

And of course I say it’s alright. ☀️

The sun is shining, the birds are birding, and nobody should be spending a gorgeous day staring into the fridge hoping a meal plan magically appears.

This is where our deli shines! We’ve got sliced meats, cheeses, and fresh bread ready for sandwiches, subs, and the easiest picnic spread around.

Let everyone build their own masterpiece! Ham, turkey, roast beef, chicken, Colby, Swiss, marble, pepper jack, hot pepper, baby Swiss… there are plenty of delicious combinations waiting to happen.

Not feeling the whole “assemble it yourself” thing? No worries. We’ve got ready-to-go subs waiting in the cooler for a quick grab-and-go lunch.

Drinks? Check.
Chips? Check.
Snacks? Check.
Condiments? You bet.

Everything you need to spend less time planning and more time soaking up that sunshine. ☀️

We’re a quick pop in and pop out mom and pop stop, so you can get back to enjoying this sunnnnnnnny day! ☀️🥪🌞 The only hard decision today should be whether you’re eating your sandwich on the porch, at the park, or in a lawn chair. 😄

Well look at us getting all fancy! 😎

One of our favorite regulars stopped by and accidentally became the face of our latest fashion campaign. By “fashion campaign,” I mean we handed them a Park Market t-shirt and said, “Hey, stand there for a second.”

I’d say they nailed it. The smile is authentic, the pose is professional-ish, and the shirt looks pretty darn good if we do say so ourselves. Thank you V’s Tees 💙

Thanks for being such a great customer and sport. We love seeing familiar faces walk through our doors, and we love it even more when those faces help show off a little Park Market pride.

If you’ve got a Park Market shirt, wear it proudly! Bonus points if you’re grabbing snacks, ice cream, or a deli sandwich while modeling. That’s what the professionals do. 😉💙

Weekend restock alert! 🎉

The shelves have been busy getting ready for your weekend plans.

Fresh Loaves of Love sourdough loaves are back, and they brought friends! We now have Loaves of Love muffins along with those homemade Rustic Petal donuts that have been disappearing as fast as we can get them on the shelf. If you’ve tried them before, this might be a good time to swing back through and stock up cause we made them a little easier on the wallet. 😉

Speaking of treats, it may be giving midnight snack energy, but there is something magical about a cold glass of milk and a fresh baked good. Luckily, our Smith’s delivery arrived today, so we’re fully stocked.

We sampled the chocolate muffin and let me tell you… warm coffee, cold milk, chocolate muffin… chef’s kiss. 🤌

The ice cream freezer got some love too! We have a new Belgian Chocolate in the 1.5 quart size and Cherry Chocolate Funk in a pint size. (The name may sound a little questionable, but the ice cream is not. 😂

Be the Good Baking dropped off another fresh batch after already doing a fresh delivery yesterday. We are absolutely spoiled around here.

Over in the beer cave, there’s a new one for the “they’ll make anything these days” file: Vodkade. It’s vodka mixed with a sports-drink-style beverage. Hydration? Celebration? Both? I don’t know anymore, but it’s here. 😆

Basically, if your weekend plans involve bread, donuts, muffins, ice cream, baked goods, beverages, or just treating yourself because it’s the weekend… we’ve got you covered. ❤️🏪

Can we all just take a moment and be amazed that it’s already Thursday?

moment of silence as another week has somehow gone by 😔

It’s Friday Eve, which is basically Friday’s fun little cousin, and if that isn’t a reason for a sweet treat, I don’t know what is.

Now, I personally believe “it’s a day ending in Y” is reason enough for cake, cookies, muffins, biscotti, ice cream, or whatever sweet thing crosses my path. But for those of you with actual self-control, this is your reminder that you’ve almost made it through the week and should reward yourselves accordingly. 🎊💙🎉

While the rest of us are wrestling with what day it is, our local bakers are out there hand-grating carrots for carrot cake, baking muffins, decorating cakes, and making all the goodies that magically appear on our shelves.

I got a behind-the-scenes peek this week at Sweet Goodness Bakery in the early stages of making some Carrot Cake. It was one of those reminders that “local” isn’t just a label. It’s real people putting in a whole lot of work before most of us have even had our morning coffee. So, of course I had to snap a picture. 😂

I’ve also been lucky enough to spot those giant fluffy Sourdough Ugly English Muffins during various stages of their journey to greatness. It’s kind of like seeing a celebrity before they’re famous.

Not all of our bakers let me randomly appear and snoop around, so I feel pretty special when I get a behind-the-scenes look. But trust me, every one of our bakers is doing amazing things.

Meanwhile, my contribution to baking is usually eating it and saying, “Wow, this is really good.” 😊

We’re lucky to have so many talented small businesses sharing their creations with our little mom-and-pop shop. Consider this my thank-you note and love letter to all of them. ❤️

Fresh cookies from Be The Good Baking arrived today, including Banana Pudding with Pecans, Lemon Iced, Chocolate Chip and UNChocolate Chip (with a chocolate bottom that you really have to try to understand).

And while they didn’t have a fresh drop today, I can’t leave out The Rustic Petal, Loaves of Love Smith and Peace Love & Biscotti. We’re lucky to have all of them on our shelves.

So here’s to making it to Friday Eve and to the bakers who somehow make it look easy. ❤️
