Dorky's story begins in Ashland, Kentucky in 2013, when a couple of passionate hillbilly culinary artists and their three sons set out on a simple mission: provide family and friends with authentic barbecue at blazing speeds. Originally founded as Dorky Porky BBQ, the establishment was a part-time tent setup for about seven years. In the confusing year of

2020, Dorky Porky BBQ became a full-time brick-and-mortar in the wonderful Village of South Point, Ohio. The community accepted us with open arms and continue to treat us with more love than we could ask for, and we're thankful for our Ohio family. Personal matters led to a closure of the store and a transition back to mobile setups in the form of the Dorkmobile that some may remember. The career responsibilities of individuals within the family caused a gradual decline in mobile setups. The passion came roaring back though. At some point, the entity known as Dorky decided to get back in the ring and continue spreading peace, love, and barbecue to all the Dorky family that gave so much support over the years. Please be patient with us as we transition back into making this a full-time passion project. We love what we do, and we want to spread the love as much as possible, so we hope you'll join us in our journey! Stop in for a bite and let us know what you think.

Take it easy on us, now.

We've had a ton of people asking, and to be honest: we were hesitant to get on board for third-party delivery at first...

We hate to turn anyone away, but sometimes you have to.

Demand has been crazy lately! We got hit by group after group today during our lunch rush and it wiped us out of food.

We're thankful for the steady stream of traffic, but please understand that we choose to keep a small crew of mostly family with some outside help here and there.

Sometimes you can only cook so much.

Thanks to all of our amazing supporters who continue to spend your hard-earned dollars here. We love you.
