Dearest runners of Ashland, we have some sad news - Origin Beer Lab is going into "hibernation mode" , meaning we are closed Mondays AND Tuesdays from January 6th to March 17th. This unfortunately means Tuesday Run Club is temporarily suspended starting January 6th. Do not fear! I am working with management and our run club members to find an alternate day/ time for winter running and beer drinking- so stay tuned for constant updates!

Our number one priority with the run club is safety, and as the below-freezing temps make for wet, icy, snowy, slick road conditions all in the dark, we think its best that we cancel tonights run :( Still come grab a beer from Cheyenne, and stay safe!

Weather might be less than ideal today, but we are still excited to run tonight! 6pm, bring your reflective vests and lights!

Here is our updated run club route for the darker running months! Most of these streets have street lights/ some sort of light source, and thanks to our test runners last week, we decided to stick to this route to avoid crossing Thompson st! Coming in at 2.28 (!!) miles, we are staying warm in the cold weather by running a little bit more than normal!

As always, we encourage runners to come out with lights/ reflective gear/ etc. for safe running at night!

We have several run club members running the Richmond Half Marathon this weekend! Come support them in this honorary "shake out 4 days prior to the event run"!

Run Club in the dark officially starts this week! We still run at 6pm, but we have an updated route that is more inclusive of street lights. We always recommend runners bring some sort of light/ reflective clothing/ etc. to promote safe running.

Stay tuned in the coming couple weeks for the premier of a weekend run club! The idea is once a month, we will host a run club or Saturday or Sunday, invite the biking community, and try to get a food truck out to the taproom! How exciting! Stay tuned for details on that one!

Alright runners of Ashland- shorter days are coming soon and we need your input! We have a couple options for what run club looks like moving into the winter!

Tuesdays: Still run at 6pm, Runners are encouraged to bring head lights/ vests/ anything else needed for night running. We would adjust the route to be running on the street exclusively.

WEEKEND proposal: Saturdays at 1pm (when Origin opens)! These could be 2 mile loops or we would introduce a 4 mile route for people interested in a longer run!

We need your feedback, so feel free to comment on this what you think about running in the dark, and running on weekends and longer routes! Any feedback you have, PLEASE bring it on!
