Congratulations to Karen Makamson Edwards, an UnCommon Farms member, on being named a finalist for Farm Progress's inaugural Women in the Field: Producer of the Year award!

Karen has become a real leader in Southern agriculture, growing corn, soybeans and cotton and pushing for data-driven decisions and new technology on her farm.

She was recognized at the 2026 Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa.

👀 You have to look closely to see them, but soybeans have purple flowers. These small blooms are an important step toward producing the pods and beans we'll eventually harvest.

The corn is standing tall and looking good. 🌽

While the heat and lack of rain were starting to show in some areas, we're encouraged by how the crop is developing. And just in time, we received some much-needed rain yesterday!

Our 7th annual Landowner Appreciation Event gave us another opportunity to spend time with the people who make what we do possible. From checking out equipment and asking questions to sharing a meal and catching up, we enjoyed every conversation.
